I'm in the same boat I had my son was fine until the depo shots now I have gained 45lbs

One huge thing to remember is not to stress I think that is bad for when you are trying. I always hear stories of when people stopped stressing it they wound up getting pregnant
Yeah most of my weight is around my tummy I have all of that beautiful extra skin and still have my back rolls haha I had the surgery Nov 2012 and became pregnant June 2014.
Goal weight I am still far from it... when I started my journey I was 303 .. day of surgery I was 282 and the lowest I had gotten down to was 187 but when I found out I was pregnant I was 199. I wanted to get down to 140 but I will take 150-160 since I have a bigger bone frame. Right now though I have to go to the Dr. Monday because I started the Depo shot after I had my son and now I am gaining weight like crazy. I had gotten down to 196 after having him and now I am at 213.

Since my period was normal I ordered the ovulation tests from eBay since they were cheaper and would test around day 13 and so on until it was positive then I tell hubby and he put his work in haha. The day we conceived we did it 3 times so crazy but we honestly didn't think it would happen so soon. All of the other times it was once or twice during ovulation.
Pregnancy was great!! I was actually happy that I was able to eat a bit more without feeling the restriction. My pregnancy actually was easy I didn't have morning sickness really maybe only 2 times, I didn't get a big huge baby bump he actually popped around 28w but I still wasnt huge when I had him at 38w

I am very worried if I will get restriction back after I deliver. I am currently 32 weeks. I started at 150 and am up to 184. still have about 8 weeks to go, so I hope I don't gain too much more.
My restricition came back a bit but I am going to do a week on liquids to try a hard reset and see if that helps. I also no longer have an apitite like before I was pregnant.

Oh good luck and lots of baby dust to you!! I had never gotten tested for fertility but just thought there was a problem with me since I had never gotten pregnant and my ex husband had a child with his current wife. I decided on the VGS with the hopes of coming off of bloodpressure meds and to get pregnant when the time was right.
My husband and I activly tried for 3 months and the 3rd month we got pregnant. I charted to see when I was ovulating and we also used PreSeed so I am thinking the combination of all 3 worked and my son just turned 5 months old on Sunday
If you ever want to talk or have more questions I am here

I was 199lbs when I found out I was pregnant and I was I think like 225 when I gave birth. After having my son I dropped down to 196lbs rather fast considering he just turned 5 months.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!! Do you know how far along you are? I would start on a prenatal and the OB can give you a script for a better one when you see him/her. When I had gottn pregnant I contuinued to eat as I had been except I felt like a bottomless pit so I would eat until I was full but it was never an issue. Just make sure you continue getting your fluids in and protien.

The sleeve helped make me a mommy I was never able to conceive but after the weightloss it happened I had my surgery 11/2012 and had my son 3/2015
-
Congratulations to you!! The only issue I had during pregnancy was non-sleeve related and that was high blood pressure. I hope your pregnancy goes well as well as your delivery

Hello,
I fell pregnant 19 months after the sleeve. I had my son March 2, 2015 and I had actually gotten below my pre-pregnancy weight since having him. While I was pregnant I felt like an endless pit, I was able to eat more then normal and I took advanatage of that haha but since having the baby I no longer have an appitie ( like after surgery).

Congrats ladies...I had my son 3/2/15 @ 38 weeks via c-section (not planned). Can't wait to see pics and updates from everyone else

Oh that's odd...I'm currently 36w6d pregnant with my first but I'm high-risk because of my blood pressure. The doctors had no concern over me having the sleeve but I wonder if other wls may cause some to be high risk. The one good thing about high risk is I'm able to see the baby more because I have more scans to make sure he's growing :-) I'm sure you'll be just fine :-)

On Monday I'll be 31 weeks pregnant with my first child a little boy :-) I'm feeling great just tired....It's been a great pregnancy I can't really complain at all. Aside from sore breast and feeling tired I had no other symptoms. My favorite thing about being pregnant is being able to feel my little man moving around in my belly. My only concern is when am I going to deliver...I'm high risk because of my blood pressure so they are talking about inducing me sometime between 37-39 weeks. As for weight gain I am up 21lbs but didn't really start putting it on until maybe 20 weeks.

I'm no longer taking Protein Shakes. I only take prenatal Vitamins and Vitamin B12. :-) If still TTC you may want to look into preseed it's a lube to use while TTC....within 3 months along with tracking ovulation we fell pregnant. I can't say if that's what helped or not definitely but it was worth the shot :-)

You may want to try PreSeed as well...It's a lubricant to use while TTC we used it and fell pregnant. I can't say this is what did or did not do it for us along with ovulation testing.

My face has broken out like I was a teenager lol I hope it goes away after my son is born lol

I was 19 months post op when finding out I was pregnant I am currently 26w 2d pregnant expecting my baby boy in March :-) without the sleeve I don't think this would have been possible
-
Hello,
Just curious how far along all were when they gave birth to their babies and what number baby was it?
Thanks in advance :-)

An update, were having a baby boy :-)

I had the glucose test last week @20 weeks and I was fine. I read many stories which scared me but I decided I'd rather give it a go rather then prick my finger for a week or two.

Hello, I didn't have PCOS but I was never able to fall pregnant and I really feel that the sleeve helped! Within 3 months of trying we fell pregnant.. I also used lube called "PreSeed" ( I do not need lube but seen it helped others ttc) the last 2 months of trying and I am not sure if that is what helped along with ovulation tests but I am sure it didn't hurt.
Good luck to you and lots of baby dust your way!!
I am 17 weeks and 2 days pregnant now and I was about 1 yr 7 months out from the Sleeve when we got pregnant.

Hello,
I am not a mommy yet but in the process lol I am currently 4 months 1 day and my doc is aiming for me to have a natural vaginal delivery, no C-section (unless something comes up and it is needed but not sleeve related).

I was able to drink the drink fairly quickly but within 5 mins it came back up. The woman mentioned me needing to come back to do it again or do the longer one and I said no thank you. I spoke with the OB and he had me monitor my sugar for a week 2 times a day opposed to trying to do that test again since I knew there was no way it would ever stay down. I
I hope it goes well for you!! I know some people are able to do it... my son just didn't like me to have anything sweet.. I couldn't even have chocolate while pregnant lol
