  1. Ok - I did 30 minutes elliptical tonight... but at work today I climbed up and down 8 flights of stairs - TWICE! I'm soooo counting that as exercise! What do you all think... I'm slow... so maybe call it... 10 minutes total?? That sounds fair! (I won't count the minutes I stood on the landing betweeen flights trying to catch my breath!!!!)
  2. COngrats on the high-tech fill Sheila!! Let us know how it holds up for you!
  3. Are ya'll ordering it through bodybugg.com or 24hourfitness.com?
  4. Yes - everyone is out of display watches. I want one too. Boo!
  5. Grace, I think that is very sweet of you. My Aunt sells Avon too... so if I buy from you she'll kill me!! (so we'll keep it a secret, Lol!) I'll take a looksie later on and see what I like.
  6. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. I'm so so so happy today! Until today no one at work has noticed my weightloss - or at least not said anything about it. But I was showing off my body bugg to one co-worker and then a few others heard and came up to me. Well, the more I talked about it the more people started saying "I noticed you've lost weight, whatever you're doing is really working!" OMG, yo! That was totally awesome to hear! One nurse said to me "I didn't want to mention your weightloss before cause I didn't know if you'd want to talk about it! Lol. (remember, no one knows I have the band!) So it was awesome. ANd since no one knows about the band I don't have to hear constantly about how the band is the 'easy' way and stuff. They all know I take the stairs at work and that I go to the gym and that I watch what I eat. I'm just on cloud NINE!
  7. Janine - Yes, check into the body bugg if you are motivated my numbers (cals burned and cals eaten) By the time I got home from work I uploaded my activity and I only have 45 more cals to burn for the day - and I still need to eat about 500 cals!! And, since I took 8 flights of stairs twice today (up twice and down twice) that helped my step count! You know, people should get 10,000 steps a day, well by 4:30pm I'd already taken 7626 steps!!! Its just so awesome to know where I stand calorie wise and also to see what activity burns more calories! I was SHOCKED to see that I burnedd more calories walking 3/4 mile to my car after work (we get bussed, but I chose to walk today) than I did taking 8 flights of stairs! Lol!! Holliwags - I agree where someone else said that you already know what turkey tastes like! Lol. My grandma has always stopped eatting after a few bites of a certain food. She would say "I know what that tastes like now, I can move on." I was kinda thinking the other day that I'm going to be depressed at thanksgiving cause I KNOW I will get stuck and probably PB if I try to eat the stuffing my granny makes! (Its the BEST!) I'm sad that I won't be able to eat 50 peanut butter balls that my sis in law makes... Wait, maybe I'm glad about that one! Lol!!! Anyway, my point is this: You've had many many Thanksgivings before... you know hwat Turkey and everything else tastes like. You love it- which is part of the reason you got the band! Go to Thanksgiving and enjoy your FAMILY! Food is just what brings you together... but the company is why we enjoy ourselves!!
  8. Yeah, the string cheese i get is 60 cals, 1.5gm fat, and 8 protein! Not bad for a quick lil picker upper!
  9. NO charging! It takes 1 AAA battery, which comes with the Bugg! (Actually, it comes with 2 batteries) YOu just have to download all the stuff you need from the website and then register your Bugg online and you can strap that baby on! Once it kicks on (cause there is no on/off switch, it kicks on and off based on your body heat) it makes beepy noise and vibrates. Lol.
  10. I've been wearing my bugg for 24 hours now - only took it off to shower this morning. I love it - but MAN is my big ole fat arm kinda sore! Lol. And I was reading the BB threads on the APEX website and some people there said that they have permanent dents in their arms from the Bugg!! Yikes!! I think I will alternate arms daily! YOu are supposed to wear it only on your right arm, but CAN wear it on your left arm, as long as it is upside down - something about the way the sensors are placed.
  11. My BodyBugg... It makes me look at my calorie intake and motivates me to MOVE more to get my calories burned number to go up up up!!
  12. 30 minutes session with personal trainer
  13. Sheila - My NP says to eat every 3-4 hours. So I take a light string cheese, a yogurt, etc and have it between meals. Once you go so long between eating anything your body goes into starvation mode and you'll start gaining weight. Don't be afraid to eat 6 small meals a day.
  14. Yay for the Bugg finally being shipped out!! I just put in all my info for the day and I've burned 2057 more calories than I've eaten. Thats awesome!
  15. You know - NONE of my co-workers or family know!! All of my friends know cause we used to all eat together. Lol. They would definitly have noticed sooner than my family or co-workers! But as of right now, I have no intentions on telling anyone I work with or my family. I might end up telling my Mom, cause she is the hardest person for me to keep things from... but I'm worried that she'll be upset that I went through with surgery in June and didn't even consult her.:faint: But, something I decided a long time ago - Sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission!
  16. Yay o2bthin!! YOu'll have to let me know if you actually get it and stuff. It only took 7 days to get mine once I ordered it - for the FREE shipping!
  17. Costant craving - reminds me of the song by KD Lang. Lol!
  18. Oh, and the nearly $500 thing - you were probably looking at the bugg with the new wrist-watch like display. FYI: the display is currently back ordered for a few months, so don't bother ordering it now. Just get the bugg and get going. Lol. The display just makes it so that you can look down at it anytime during the day and see your calories burned. It would definitly be handy, and I want one badly, but there are peopl on the bodybugg thread that have them and don't use them. (I'm trying to see if they'll sell me theirs cheap! Haa!)
  19. Oh Bigbaby!! I got mine for only $229.20!!!! www24hourfitness.com - somewhere on that page you can click on the bodybugg - I think its in the lower left hand corner. They sell then for $349.99 (bodybugg.com sells them for $399.99) Then... 24hourfitness has them on sale for $279.20...BUT when you go to the check out page you can enter the coupon code BLC24 and you get $50 off the sale price and pay a whopping $229.20!! It truely works! You get a 3 month subscription to the online service (which you have to have, btw) and 2 phone sessions with a B coach to help you out with any questions and get you acclimated to the system. I promise you its not hard though. I got it all figured out and I'm not that smart! Haha! I don't know how long this coupon code is good for!! It's already been out for about a month now, so if you want to jump on this deal I suggest you do it pretty quickly! It's nearly 1/2 price!!
  20. o2bthin - Yes, I input my intake calories. I just put in allm y food manually, cause I am cheap and buy generic (mostly walmart brand) foods. ANd some newer foods aren't on their lists yet, so like today for lunch I;m having Progresso's new WW 0 point soup, so I had to add it in the food log and tell it how much a serving was, calories, fat, sodium, carbs, protein, etc... Its such an awesome program really. Until I put in my protein shakes that I make every morning I never really added up the calories for it! Its been over 500 cals! Wow! So I looked at it today and adjusted it to make it about 100 less calories. You can also see where all of your calories come from - whether you're getting them mostly from carbs, fats, protein, etc. It maps it out on a pie chart thingy. I totally love it. I can really see why so many people love this gadget! If anyone is motivated by numbers and such this is THE thing to have.
  21. BigBaby - I can't speak for anyones fill but my own... My last fill I got (6 1/2 weeks ago) was tight to begin with - it was tight for about the first 3 weeks, then loosened up a bit. At first I couldn't even eat more than 3oz yogurt... even drinking water was a bit painful and would make me slime. Now, for the past 3 weeks I feel like I'm at a perfect fill. At my last appointment the NP wouldn't give me another fill, and I said "No problem, I don't WANT one!" I can eat anywhere from 1/2 cup to 1 cup food... depending on what it is. So, will your fill loosen up? Probably. Can I promise that? Nope. You have to decided what you're willing to live with and put up with. Yes, the weightloss is great when pounds are falling off every day, but you aren't able to get in your protein and other nutrients, so that is a very bad thing.
  22. OMG Mandi!! That sounds FABULOUS! I love anything "buffalo"!
  23. a co-worker of mine had a very bad allergic reaction to the injections and had to be hospitalized... be very cautious!
  24. LJM - Just thought I'd pipe in here and say that Circus Circus DOES do child care - or at least they did a couple of years ago when my cousin and her family went! Its a bit further down the strip from TI, but not too bad!! I don't know if I'll be able to go with ya'll!!! I want to! I think my June '07 group is planning a march/april trip out there. Funny how we all get skinny and plan a weekend in Sin City! Lol!
  25. :hungry: :hungry: :hungry: :hungry: :hungry: :hungry: :hungry: :hungry: :hungry: :hungry: 1 pound ground turkey 1 cup dry breadcrumbs 1 tbsp cayenne pepper 1 tbsp minced garlic 1 egg 4 ounces mozzarella cheese pre-heat over to 400F degrees. cut mozzarella cheese into very small cubes. mix breadcrumbs (I use pepperage farms herb crusted stuffing mix) and cayenne pepper in large bowl. add 1 egg and minced garlic to breadcrumbs. fold in ground turkey. may need to add more breadcrumbs to desired texture. roll meatballs to about 1 inch size. make hole in each meatball and add small cube of mozzarella cheese to middle, then pinch meat around and roll to fully cover cheese. Place on lighty greased baking pan. bake at 400F degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until meatballs fully cooked. I eat these plain - cause I'm boring... but you can mix up a gravy or dip them in some sort of sauce if you want.
