I remember being 2 weeks post op last October, still feeling sick, barely able to get Water down. Feeling weak and not sure if I made the right choice. Here we are, a year later and 104lbs lighter. My goal was to lose 60-80lbs because I'm not the overachiever type. I couldn't be happier with my results! I feel great! Have lots I energy and can pretty much handle all foods (except for steak, rice and potatoes) but, I'm fine with it. So before you think that you are having regrets, made the wrong decision or feeling like it won't work, understand that if I can do it, you can too

I can't wait until I can say the same thing! You look so good! Yea!!! What have been some of the major changes? How soon did you find you had more energy? And how long until you were actually doing things you weren't doing before? Are you finding it hard to keep a high Protein diet? (which I was told I would have to do) Thanks for your input-Energy within the first 2 months! I did Protein drinks for 7 months straight every morning now I just make sure I get a Protein Bar in and the rest in food, chicken and fish mostly

Ann48, I'm not exercising either. I use every excuse in the book to put it off. I have a Protein Drink every morning for Breakfast, lunch is usually turkey pepperoni and about 2 oz of fresh mozzarella cheese or a lean cuisine and dinner is whatever Protein I can get my hands on. I've barely had any veggies at all. When I go out I make better choices then I used to. I don't drink as much Water as I should and I think it causes my stalls. 40lbs is great!! U should be proud of yourself.

Awesome progress!! You look fantastic! I would love to follow you on myfitnesspal if you're on it! I need more inspiration!

I feel as if I'm able to eat more now and afraid I'm eating too much. I'm tracking on my fitness pal as best as I can but I'm at a stall for almost 2 weeks and worry of gaining

I can tell you that I've seen a lot of people, including myself that become lactose intolerant after getting sleeved. So it may be too soon for the cheese. I was able to get a soft boiled egg in after 2 weeks, but only a spoonful or two. U will get full on a few bites. U can try and space out your meals every few hours and drink your fluids in between. I know, easier said then done.

Thanks! I'm definitely not eating enough!

You're ahead of the game! I was sleeved on 9/24 and only down 30. I haven't exercised since I went back to work and I'm sure that slowing me down. May I ask what a regular days meal might consist of for you? I don't think I'm eating enough

Everyone varies as you can see by reading all these threads. I'm 2 months post op and down 30. I would say we are on the same track!! Choo Choo! )

have been nauseaous for three weeks and am five weeks out. doctor said that we need to go in and look and probably do a balloon stretching of stomach a little bit...i am scared about what to expect... will the pouch burst or is it healed enough..is there pain ...will it allow more foodand how long does it take....any info on this procedure would be helpful and appreciated...at this point i feel sick from morning till night...it sstarts to subside and for no reason comes back full force. i am on zantac and pepcid after being on prilosec for 2 weeks...thought the prilosec was causing the sickness...but not. thank youI had it done 3 weeks post op. it wasnt to stretch my stomach pouch but to widen the opening going into my stomach. During my sleeve surgery my dr noticed a hernia and tightened it. This caused lots of pressure, pain and difficulty swallowing food. After the balloon I was able to take in soft mushy foods easier. I'm 2 months post op now and have no issues. Good luck!!

Should stand for Oh My Gassness!! I cannot believe the gas I get from eating the simplest of foods almost 8 weeks out. Is this only happening to me? Not easy having this gas at work

For me I try to drink 2 Premier Protein drinks (60 grams) for both. I found jacks links beef jerkey 1.5 oz bag is 22grams and only 120 cal (I think). eggs make me sick all of a sudden and I used to love eggs!! Lentil Soup is good too, can only get in maybe 1/2 cup.

I'm almost 5 weeks post op and just went back to work today. I was so busy I was only able to get a Protein Drink and a baby bell cheese in after 10 hrs of work. I don't see an end in site of this craziness. Hurricane sandy has my company running in circles and I'm
