CVS has their own sublingual B12s. I get them when they have their bogo 50% sales. As for multi, I take 2 kids chewables a day.

It's not common, but it's not rare, either. It's an easy fix. It was awful while it was happening. It felt like my food wouldn't move past the bottom of my throat. I took a small sip of Water and it came right back up. Then I proceeded to throw up for about an hour. I felt like I threw up a whole lot more than I ate. Steak was the culprit. I'm 4 1/2 months out, but some people can't tolerate steak even after a year, if ever. It's weird that beef Jerky (home made) doesn't bother me. Now I'm back on a Stage 1 diet for the next week at least. :-( Glad I love yogurt!
I was thinking of Tuesday evening for the group, but that's not carved in stone. Since weekends are the only time I can catch up on home and family stuff, weekends might be tough. That's not to say there couldn't be a Saturday meeting and a Tuesday meeting. You know, one month on Tuesday and one month on Saturday... It's still in the early stages of planning, but suggestions like these help a lot!

I had my first follow up with Dr. Lemanski and reached my 10lb weight loss goal! The last week I was pretty hard core to get to it but I'm so happy, he cleared me.
Just waiting for the office to submit to insurance and get insurance clearance letter
Any other advice? I can't believe how real this feels!

I walked a ton of extra steps and ate less and better last week... And only lost half a pound! Grrrr! But two new pairs of jeans in another size smaller say I am still shrinking.
The dog adoption is happening April 19! We're so excited to be bringing her home!

Yeah some doctors will do it, but for assurance and safety Singh removes and then go back in 8-8 weeks after. He's a great doctor, I just very much didn't agree with his bed side manner following the sleeve so I switched to Bennetti, plus Bennetti is super hot. Lmao. Didn't hear it from me! Lol

Well, after an almost three year hiatus, I went back to work this week. I am working downtown on Elk Street from 9-2 and I love it. It was a great week. I walked the concourse a lot and dropped another three pounds this week, bringing my total to 60 pounds since surgery!
A couple weeks ago, I saw a courtesy post on a local dog adoption site about a blind pit bull and I fell in love. I couldn't stop thinking about her. My daughter and I went to meet her yesterday and she is amazing. She was born without eyes so she's never known sight. She has no idea that she's different. Things are looking good for us and I hope to bring her home to be with us within the next couple of weeks. There's a process, especially with a blind dog, and we're using the help of an animal behaviorist/trainer.

I'm interested in leading a Local Chapter in the Albany/Rensselaer area in upstate NY. I had RNY in December and prepared for nearly two years, learning as much as I could in that time. I have lost over 60 pounds so far. I have beaten type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and high cholesterol. I have gained the support of nearly everyone in my family and friends circle, explaining my procedure and fighting the "easy way out" mentality.
I have extensive experience in planning and hosting meetings and presentations. I have over 25 years of administrative experience. I have been a Health Coach for Take Shape for Life (Medifast) since 2010 and have hosted many presentations and workshops in relation to the program. I've led local discussions and helped hundreds of people lose weight with this program, some pre-op in their bariatric program. I also run my own Avon business, which has me networking and talking to people all the time. I have an active Avon Facebook page as well as a blog to keep my customers informed and inspired.
I am a recent breast cancer survivor, having had extensive reconstruction after bilateral mastectomies and have much knowledge on plastic surgery with many local connections. I have learned a vast amount about nutrition in my weight loss adventure, and I'm thankful to have that knowledge to apply to my post-op life. I am an avid cook and I know my way around the kitchen quite well. All the activities listed appeal to my areas of interest and I would love to pull together activities in these areas to support my local weight loss surgery brothers and sisters.
I am passionate about weight loss surgery and how it provides hope for people, like me, who have tried everything else and have looming health issues. I actively seek out new information about new procedures, techniques, complications, etc. and love talking about it. I have the compassion to make others feel welcome and not pressured. I'm a great talked and an even better listener. I feel it's my calling to pass on what I have learned and to provide help and hope to others in a positive, fun environment.
My availability is generally weekday late afternoons and evenings (I am home by 3) with occasional availability for a weekend activity.

Why hello there! I don't have much to report. I go for my 3 month follow up tomorrow and will get my Vitamin levels and blood work results. I have no issues with foods at all which bothers me BC at least if I had an issue I'd be able to avoid certain things. NOPE!! Still haven't had a salad yet but I think after tomorrow that's the first thing I'm hitting up!! On my scale at home I am down 37 lbs in 3 months. Kyle has really helped me a lot, I was getting so damn frustrated from being at a stall for an entire month I was ready to throw my towel in. But now I'm getting a better grip on things and the scale moved a whole lb! Better than nothing though!!! How are you feeling brick? Wth is your real name? Lol... You look freaking awesome!!

Sorry, things have been pretty hectic. I got home from hospital, and am slowly but surely recovering. The pain is worse then what I expected, but manageable with the happy pills they have given me, and they have given me permission to take them closer together do to the pain. I did have to have a balloon cath done on I believe day two (I'm a bit foggy, not sure exactly what day it was). It was a long drawn out process and they had to get 800, which took a lot of tugging, yanking, twisting, pulling, time and so on, tmi I know sorry, but I now have a very bad UTI to add on top on my revision. Because of my Lupus I am placed at higher risk for infection, and this of course happened. I'm doing okay though and sorry I haven't updated, just been hectic with recently getting home from hospital and testing and taking it easy. They had me released with a walker because I'm more unstable then usual, a bit weak, and feel a tad fragile. I am slowly but surely getting better though. Patience is a virtue :-)

Ugh, Lemanski is tough. I wouldn't go through all that again for anything. Ten pounds can be easy with low carbs and lots of Water. Or, as in my case, with Type 2 diabetes and lots of insulin, it can be nearly impossible. He pushes a Mediterranean-style diet, but ten pounds in a couple weeks will be tough. I'd recommend low carbs and lots of Water. No cheating. As soon as you begin eating carbs again, your liver will fill back up with glycogen and you will see a jump on the scale. So no carbs until after he weighs you.
By the way, I had surgery 12/11, I'm down 55 lbs (probably more) and I'm no longer diabetic. :-)

I had my 3 month check today. Everything was SO much improved! My A1c went from over 12 to 6.5! My glucose went from high 300s to 113! I am down 53 pounds and I even went to the gym today! I had to keep my momentum going today since I won't be able to MOVE tomorrow! LOL!
Kyle, glad you are going to see Dr. T. His staff is very helpful. I dealt with Nick a lot. He was great. Chelsea is new, but she is also very helpful.

Any thoughts or input on my post from March 4th? Just looking for some thoughts and input. I'm usually always a policies thinker and think of things as happily ever after and blah blah blah but was hoping for some guidance and thoughts on this one. Thanks. :-)
