  2. Congratulations! Looking Good!
  3. I'm so sorry you have to go through this while starting a whole new chapter. Sometimes a little distance can work wonders in gaining some perspective It is a lot to work on at one time, a marriage and your health, but it is good you shared, you have a built in support system here... utilize it. Take strength from those around you. Its good to keep on track with your surgery. It will give you something very positive to focus on. Stay strong for yourself and your girls. Good luck with everything.
  4. Congratulations!! Good luck for continued success.
  5. Torn between Sleeve McQueen or Sleevie Wonder.
  6. Awesome! Congratulations on a fantastic start!!
  7. I've been trying a bunch. My favorite so far is the Pure Protein Frosty Chocolate. 35gm Protein per can. It is thinner than alot I have tried. You can find it in GNC, but I found the best prices on Amazon. I'll be ordering the powder this week, its much less expensive.
  8. I am sure no two are identical, but mine started by me filling out a bunch of paperwork. Lists of questions to determine if I am depressed, have impulse control issues or substance abuse issues. I was also asked to draw a House, A Tree and A Person on separate pages. After filling all these out I went in for a meeting with the doctor. A very nice man who asked about my weight history, family history, support system and asked questions about if I fully understood the process. It all took about an hour and he let me know he felt I was a great candidate for the sleeve.
  9. I think I will definitely be checking out the support group.
  10. Congratulations on your decision, and good luck for a speedy process.
  11. No, they didn't require it, but when I told my coordinator that I had them, she said it couldn't hurt.
  12. Congratulations!! Good luck for a smooth recovery.
  13. Awesome!! I couldn't stop smiling for hours.

  16. Congratulations and Good luck for a smooth recovery!
  17. So happy to share that I just got my approval. Of course it seemed like forever, but the reality was it went very quickly. I have Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield NJ. When I first spoke to BCBSNJ in June, I was told I needed a 6 month doctor supervised diet, letter of necessity from my doctor, nutrition visit, psych eval. Come August when I went to meet with my surgeon for the first time I found out from the office coordinator that Horizon changed their requirements. No more 6 month diet. They required an over 40 BMI, a letter from me stating what diets I had been on over the course of the last year, a two year weight history from my PCP. (Just whenever they weighed me over the last two years) The psych/social worker consult, NUT visit. and POOF here we are! I had receipts from Nutra-system and Weight Watchers, and added them to my packet. Just my Pre-op visit on October 9 and I'll have a surgery date. I am so excited!!
  18. Just got my very own call from Julie letting me know I just got insurance approval! I have my pre-op meeting on October 9 and will set a date then. Very excited!
  19. You have come to the right place! Good luck on your journey!
