I am sure no two are identical, but mine started by me filling out a bunch of paperwork. Lists of questions to determine if I am depressed, have impulse control issues or substance abuse issues. I was also asked to draw a House, A Tree and A Person on separate pages. After filling all these out I went in for a meeting with the doctor. A very nice man who asked about my weight history, family history, support system and asked questions about if I fully understood the process. It all took about an hour and he let me know he felt I was a great candidate for the sleeve.

The evaluation is pretty simple. you go speak with a therapist about the surgery and what you expect to get from it. they ask you a lot of fact finding questions to see how you will deal with surgery and life after surgery. i was nervous but after the first few minutes all was well. my evaluation was about 1:30 hr long.
