Howdy. I've posted this link a couple of times already. It's a good article explaining why your body weight has stalled.

The liquids start quickly passing through your pyloris (the muscle at the bottom of your stomach that processes the passage of liquids and solids to your small intestines) that is why you don't feel the restriction much, yet.
As you move to full solids you will feel the restriction as it fills up your little stomach quite quickly. Go really slow when you begin solids.
Also, if you are tall, your stomach may be longer that some other people and you can tolerate more food and the bougie size the doctor used on you to determine your stomach size may be a factor.
Good luck on your journey !!

So I have been on my protein shake diet for 7 days now, I have lost 13.8lbs so far. Tomarrow is clear liquids only because it is the day before my surgery. I know I can't have any shakes so what do you recomend besides water, chicken broth, and sugar free jello (that's not red)? My surgery is at 6:30 a.m thurday aug 2nd and my nurves have kicked in. When I think about it I feel sick to my tummy.

You can do it. Its very had the first 3 days but does get easier. Do your best and remember what you are doing it for. You will lose weight even just on that diet. Don't get discouraged. Its all worth it in the end. My surgery is Thursday so today is my last day on that diet but tomarrow is clear liquids only because its the day before my surgery. Good luck and best wishes.

SO excited to step on the scale today and was 197!! I am officially out of the 200s and I hope to never see them again. This sleeve is the best decision I have ever made for myself. I haven't lost a ton yet, it's still early but I'm already confident in myself and learning to love myself again with every pound that comes off. Thought I'd share since this is a huge milestone for me

When you feel comfortable. That was my doctor's response. I think we waited about a week and a half. Missionary may not be the best position at first because of the added pressure on your abdomin. Just be careful.

My surgery is 8/1, I plan on going through my closet today as well. I have all sizes and think I will pull out the smaller sizes and keep then sorted by sizes in a box or something.

It does take some adjusting.... ok a lot of adjusting. I am one who always drank a lot with my meals but I also ate a lot more at one time. I have forgotten and reached for my glass and taken a drink and it is not a pleasant experience. You will not want to do it after once or twice messing up. You are eating so little in one meal that you will not need to wash your food down. It just takes some practice and the best thing to do is not even have a drink near you while your eating. You will get used to it and now I stop drinking when I get hungry and wait for about 30-45 minutes then eat. After you eat you feel full so you know you cannot fit anything else in. At first it seemed like an eternity before I could drink but now its second nature. The whole thing is a process and a learning experience.

The reason we're not supposed to drink before eating is to actually leave room in our tiny stomach's for the little bit of food we get to eat. The main reason for not drinkingwhile eating is to prevent from washing the food through the stomach and intestines too quickly and not allowing our bodies to absorb the needed nutrients.
Having said that i do have to admit that I do take a sip of Water every now and then while I'm eating. I cant help it. And I figure a few small sips shouldn't really hurt. It's not like I'm downing a whole glass of something and flushing the food through.
