Did it get better with solids?

So the hunger will go away with solid foods? I hope so. I am 2 weeks out, eating purees and Protein drinks. I am ALWAYS hungry.

Are you two weeks from surgery? I am too. And I (luckily?? Unluckily??) have had no problems with liquids, purees or even some soft foods that I have "snuck". I AM ALWAYS HUNGRY. I try to fight it with Water. I know people say it's acid. I take 2x/day Pepcid. But damn, I eat 3-4 oz of something, I'm full. 30 min later I want to eat again. I am trying not to graze but it's hard. I can't relate to people who can only take sips or people who throw up if they _________. My sleeve seems to be made of steel.

But unless your pants are elastic, they might not fit anyway on your stitches. Ouch!

To everyone who went back to work a few days later and stuff, what pants did you wear?? Everything hurts my incisions! I am one week post op and it was a challenge to find clothes just to take my daughter out for a haircut. Thank Goodness I kept some maternity pants.

OMG that has been the worst for me. I gained 18 pounds after surgery!! I am now 7 days post-op and am just starting to lose it. Believe me, I hate to read all these people losing 25 lbs at their 1st week followup appt, but I have no choice but to keep on doing what I'm doing. I too have been worried that this won't work for me.

How did it go? I had surgery on the 29th and go back on the 10th.

I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow (yay!) and just had pre-op yesterday. Nobody mentioned my nailpolish -- all 8 people who saw me. But I'm reading in the paperwork, don't wear nailpolish. I have shellac on my nails and it's a pain to remove. Did anyone get by without removing nailpolish??

Just curious -- I gained almost 20 lbs from surgery. It sucks. When do you finally lose the Water weight from all the IV fluids? I guess that's what this weight is. Tomorrow is day 5. I can now relate to people who are scared this won't work for them. i am seeing AGAIN the same pre-op weight I've looked at for 8 months. Sigh. It's haunting me.

Thank you for the reassurance. Like waiting for the surgery, now waiting for the weight loss... Waiting is difficult!

I am 4 days post op and have had cream of mushroom Soup. It was dreamy! We only had Clear liquids in the hospital.

I'm now 3 days post op and everything went smooth. I have 7 little incisions and no drain. I've been walking since just a few hours after surgery... But damn! My stomach HURTS! I can't lay in my bed. I can barely stand upright when I walk. I can hardly get up from a chair. I can't bend over to pick up toys. And my stomach is still bloated. Ooooouuch. How long does this pain last?

It feel like I've done 2000 crunches with 7 little tight spots that pull when I move.

That's fantastic! Good for you!! I am home drinking a Protein shake it's good. I have terrible muscle pain, though, in my stomach. I hope it goes away soon,

I was sleeved on 8.29 and am just coming home from hospital today. I gained 20 lbs!!! I was on IVs the whole time, but still. I have been walking but my stomach feels so sore, I can't even stand up straight. No complications or anything but dang it, my stomach hurts!!

As it turns out, I told the surgeon during my preop appt, and he gave me an antibiotic, no worries. I was mainly concerned they'd postpone the surgery and I definitely did not want that!!

I'm scheduled for surgery on Wed and it's Sunday night now. I feel like I might be getting a UTI. Will this postpone my surgery? Maybe if I ignore it, it'll go away.
