Cheri, how are you doing?

My surgeon has me taking stool softeners. He told me to start taking them every day after I left the hospital. I thought I didn't need them, but quickly found out I do! He also told me I should get 64oz of Water in each day! I haven't met that goal yet!!!

Tracey, I like your explanation...that really does make sense. So does the not having yeast.
I'm off to find some wonton wrappers...

More cyber hugs to you! So sorry you are going through this!

Good question! I'm wondering too.

Great job! That is funny about moving the fries... I always feel self conscious about eating so little while I am still obviously overweight! I'm afraid that people think I don't like the food. Once a manager even came out to see what was wrong with the food. It was a little embarassing.

Thanks for all of the advice! It is weird how different surgeon recommendations are. I can eat pretty much anything (except sugar, bread, and citrus) according to my surgeon. I was told no NSAIDS for the rest of my life and wasn't sure if tylenol counted...
I think that headache may have been due to not getting enough water... I never realized how hard this would be! I feel like I am constantly drinking, but when I look down the bottle is only half empty!

I am six weeks out and had a terrible headache yesterday, but wasn't sure what I could take. I suffered through that one, but I'm curious as to what you guys take for minor aches and pains? I hate to use my liquid lortab for small issues...

This is the feeling I get when I take that one bite too many. Not very comfortable!

I thought that the sleeve didn't stretch like a by-pass. Am I wrong on that?

My nine day stall began at the end of week two! Just started moving again yesterday. I asked my surgeon about at yesterday's post op visit and he assured me that it is normal.

I had to fill out an intake form my first visit with a list of diets and when I tried them. I really had to "guesstimate". It feels like I was always on some diet or another. I don't think they will deny you based on this, it really isn't something they can prove or disprove.

Applesauce was the first thing I liked too! Mine were off the first week, but I was released to full liquids/mushies from day three. My normal tastes already seem to be coming back. I couldn't stand canned Soups, so I had to make my own. I think it will get better.

I was on pain meds the first week. I felt like I could walk around more and breathe more deeply with the meds. I think this is normal. The second week I felt so much better. Today is day 21 for me, week three I feel pretty normal! So hang in there, it does get better!

It is soooo hard for me too!

I also had my toes done. I had nothing on my fingers though. At one point I had an Oxygen sensor on each hand

I'm right there with you guys! Day 18 and I haven't really lost anything in a week!

I'm two weeks out now. I lost about 15 pounds the first week, and only 2 the second. Your body will even itself out I think : )

You look wonderful!

My surgery was July 27 and I started feeling normal again about two weeks out. The hard part about feeling normal again is you really have to be careful not to overdo things. My husband has to keep reminding me not to lift over 10 pounds, etc...

Thanks for the topic, I'm headed back to work Monday too! Great question! Thanks DEZ for the ideas!
when is too soon?

My surgeon told me for best weight loss results wait two years. However...I've been going through infertility treatments for years and had the surgery mainly to become more fertile. Since I am 37 and already having trouble, both my reproductive endocrinologist and my surgeon agree that we can start trying at 6 months.
