  2. I took my first drive today and it was fine. I am three days out. Not ready for sex yet...
  3. Well I had my surgery on Monday, July 2nd and I am about to take a small drive to the pharmacy. I think I will be just fine if I do some old lady driving...LOL!
  4. Actually I am feeling great! The ride wasn't half as rough as what I had imagined in my head...
  5. Yes they are totally different. The plication does not remove part of the stomach. I think it only sutures it in order to make it smaller. You can google it and come up with lots of information. I was looking into it at one point. I mentioned it to my doctor and he dismissed the idea (can't really remember what he said)...I had the sleeve on Monday.
  6. Yep you are right. I will do just that!
  7. Well it's over...I had my surgery on July 2nd. It was not that bad...thank God! I had some bouts with nauseau but overall the pain and uncomfort has been bearable. I am more concerned with the after effects and how to deal with the questions on how I lost weight. I am not one to broadcast my business so this makes things a little uncomfortable for me...any suggestions???
  8. I had my surgery on Monday as well. I had some nauseau but it passed and I am able to keep the liquids down. I am following a suggestion that I read on another post where I squeeze the air out of my jaws before I swallow and it helps not to gulp down too much air. I hope and pray things get better!

  10. I am scheduled for july 2. I have to have a h. hernia repair as well. Does this significantly increase the recovery time and make for more pain? I am just curious as to what I should expect. Also, as for a grocery list...what will I need from the store to keep me full???

  12. LOL to the greasy cheesburger. It will pass...I know this is merely a rehearsal for what we will go through in the upcoming week. I am determined to stick it out and I want you to do the same. My hubby gave away all of the junk food in our house. He is starting a diet with me (not liquid) but a healthier way of eating. He doesnt need to lose any weight but his support helps!
  13. I am replacing two meals a day until two-three days before the sugery and I have to replace three meals a day with the protein shakes. I also have to take in 65 oz of water daily. I am praying I can do this because today was not a good day. I ate out and did not drink the protein shakes at all. Tomorrow will HAVE to be better!
