2 seconds, not bad!!!Yeah, I hink I've finally fixed it, now what have I missed for 3 days!!!

OK, so I'e done eveything I could think of but one- the system recovery. I squirmed at the idea becuase I wasn't sure what I would lose, but it worked. It's sooo fast now, I'm so happy. And all my favorites were kept, still need to go to my doc and pics to see if those are missing, but I figured I could to without them, pics I'd be upset about, but I had to do something. Let's see how long it takes to post this!

Welcome back Kathy and Chim. I haven't seen frusterated, sunny, newCC, or the others yet, unless I missed it somewhere. You seem to be feeling good and following doc orders. Great to hear from you, and welcome to Bandland. It's almost as great as Disneyland!!!! Wait, it's better!!! Still having computer difficulties, taking a minute to turn the page on here, and even the quick reply doesn't seem to be working right, as it's taking forever after I hit the button. Tried eveything I can think of, so I may have to call the geek squad as someone mentioned to do, or call someone to help me out. Have a great day all if I don't get back on. Hope everyone today has a speedy recovery!!! I hope to be back, but I just don't know.

dmtjet, Thanks for the help. I did find the disc clean up and ran it, then the defragementing. Took like 7 hours to run. Do you think I need to shut down the computer now, and bring it back up so all the changes go into effect? It's not been running as slow, but still could be better. I deleted cookies, everything I could think of.

Sounds like for the most part everyone is doing good. It's taking foreve to turn pages still on this computer. Someone had mentioned a disc clean up. Whay is this, and how do you do it. I've tried 2 of the 4 thinkgs they listed to spped up your computer. I've disabled 3rd party add ons and I updated all my windows softwae yesterday. My computer took so long it was literally out of comission all day. It also said to install latest security updates but I have security, and to download a fix from Yahoo toolbar, but don't know how to do this. Hope to have this darn thing fixed in the next few hours. I feel like a need a computer whiz to come ove and do this, as I'm unsure and would hate to screw up what I have. Going to try some more things right now, so I may not be on for a while. Hope everyoe will be checking in rom Wednesdays surgeries, and everyones doing well for todays surgeries. I so miss you guys. I'm tryin to get back as quickly as I can. Hope this posts!!

Sorry everyone, but I'm still trying to work on computer problems. I haven't been able to read up on todays posts, just wanted to wish everyone that's on deck for tommorrow good luck, and you will all be in my thoughts and prayers. I'll try to get things fixed and be on tomorrow. Gnite all.

dmtjet, did you know that Sea World is gone!!! I had been onve and wanted to take my son. It's not there anymore. I'm way down at the opposite of Ohio, right arossed the border in KY. There's a lot of us fron the East coast on here. Night icybreeze, I'm heading out too.

Icy, I'm just joking with you. I'm actually from OHIO, born and raised. Came to KY when I met my DH about 7 years ago. I have picked up on the southern accent very well, but not to the point where I say "Y'all" and things like that. It comes and goes. My son however, is all Kentuckian. He's a little hick as we call them!!

dmtjet, he has been a few times. It's a hereditary thing, and he had high blood pressure the last time we went to the Dr. He' a smoker, and it doesn't help either. He needs to get on something preventive instead of something to take after he gets them.
