  1. blooeyez, on my liquid phase, I was allowed 3- 4 oz meals, and 3-4oz snacks, but with all of this, I still stayed betweed 575 and 750 calories. My doc said to stay between 600 and 900 calories, for my weight, depending on how much excercise I get in. How much more does your doc want you to eat, and how many ozs are you taking in at 1 meal? Susa, welcome to the Lucky 7's.
  2. I keep hearing people talk about Bandster Hell, but I'm afraid I've personally never experienced this. I was eating/drinking 3 meals, 4 ozs and 3 snacks, 4 oz a day, and this kept me satisfied all throughout the liquids and mushy stage foods. Those of you that are hungry, what is your meal/snack schedule like? I've been eating every 3 to 3 1/2 hours now, and still feeling full, even before the fill.
  3. Good morning all. Waiting for the family to get up so we can go to the waterpark, another hot one today, going to be 95 degrees here. Hope it will be a good day for all!!
  4. Icy breeze, you got a numbing shot with your fill????? Not me, and I got a dime size bruise left on my belly. Chim, it gets better, I promise. Drive safe!! Heading to bed, but I'll check in tomorrow evening. Everyone have a great evening and a wonderful Saturday!!
  5. Sunny, I just got the yahoo messenger back, so I'll try the IM tomorrow evening. I'm heading to Kings Island amusement park tomorrow with DH and kids. Probably will be gone all morning and after noon. I'm at dolphinatic617@yahoo.com. Kathy, hope you have a great vacation. Have any good plans?? Dini babes, you'll be a stronger woman for all of this. You may not see it now, but you'll get through this, and will be just fine. We all care, and we're hear for you whenever you need to unload. BIG hugs to you.
  6. Dini, the pics are great you hot mama. Gonna try to dowmload my yahoo messenger again, so be looking for me tomorrow. I'm going to start the download later tonight, just in case it screws something up. I've been updating everything and everytime I update, I have to shut down the computer. I know I was signed up for automatic updates, but for some reason, it's not working. Not having a computer is about as frusterating as not having a car these days!!!!! Danny, thanks for the imput about Dini's situation. It is so nice to have a male opinion, and I'm sure Dini appreciates it. Do you think your wife would be upset if she knew you we're talking to a bunch of women for support? See, my DH knows there are males on here, and I know he supports me, but the support I get here is different. Everyone here is bonded in a way that no one else can understand. I love my DH, and we both came from relationships where our ex's cheated, and I don't believe either one of us would do it to each other, and I tell him everything, we have no secrets. I just hope your DW would understand that the friendships we've created here are just that, friends that are banded and can help answer questions you may have, and share in your weight loss journey. cazulay, it would be nice to stay home and be pampeed all day long, but I'm actually looking forwad to going back to work next week. You're energy will come back, and you'll be ready to go all day!!! caolin, 12 lbs is great. Congrats!!!
  7. Dini, I hope you're feeling better now afte the fill. I don't understand Adam not telling you about the page, and why so secretive. Are you sure he's not communicating with someone else on there? I'm so sorry for you to find that. It may be nothing, but the way he's playing it, there could be something to it. You don't need the stress in your life right now. I'd tell him to be coming clean on whatever he's up to, and hopefully he will. I'm heading out to an early lunch with a friend of mine, but I'll check back in later.
  8. Only4me, I use the Body Fortress powder from Walmart, only $12 for a big container, and it's an Isolate powder, not soy. Isolate is beter absorbed m your body, feeping you fuller. It has 23g of protein per scoop, and I love it. Cream of wheat is on my liquid diet, but you may want to check with your doc. Snag, so sorry about your treadmill woes. Isin't it amazing how no one wants to stand behind their products anymore. It's ashame that people buy products, and then customer service goes right out the door with your product. Hope you have better luck with the new one. Phyl, isn't it wonderful ordeing off the childs/senior menus. Just think of all the money we're saving already. Congrats on the 'pants falling down' syndrome. Can't wait until mine fall, and hopefully at home too!! Someone mentioned the cruise on the the last page, sorry can't remember who, but yes, we are tryig to get together and go on a cruise next year, so we can all meet. The poll was a tie between Carribean and Mexico. We though we'd leave it open for a while, but when I set them up they closed in one day. Guess I did something wrong. Anyway, if you're interested, please PM Dini, she's keeping a list, and someone was checking on prices for us.
  9. Kathy, I'm sooo excited for you you and your DH to get away!!! See, things always work out, don't they. Love the gift certificate idea. He'll be so suprised. jackie506, down 29 lbs, how great is that. So how many sizes down are you in pants/tops now. Chim, sleepy good. You need the rest!! Wrangler, at 28 lbs, wow, you guys are kicking butt and taking no names!!! Way to go. Think I'm heading to bed now. Had a long day of cleaning, hopefully they'll come tomorrow for the appraisal, or else someone will pay!!!!! G'nite all. Have a great night!!
  10. only4me, what kind of shakes are you drinking? or what powder are you using?
  11. Kathy, how are you adding the powder into your soups? I've made mine in a pot, and then took out about a cup full in a bowl, and slowly stirred the powder in, taking about 5 or 6 minutes to do it. This will eliminate the foam. Just and FYI if you don't like the foam. Only for me, ys, I'd thing it's normal and it will decrease eventually. I'm like Kathy, if you have to choose one or the other, do the shake. You need the protein first. You can always dring later if you get up during the night or something.
  12. Kathy, glad you're feeling better today. Isn't it amazing how good "playing hookie" from work can be!!
  13. Danny, I'm dealing with a local brokerage firm. They don't know their head from their AS*es. It's been a battle with them, and I wouldn't recomend my worst enemy to them. Yes, I did need my fill. I was hungry every 2 to 2 1/2 hours on Sunday and Monday this week. So I'm glad I got it. Marcy, this mortgage group has screwed my refi up so bad they've paid for both the appraisals. The guy never called today, so he'd better be calling tomorrow. Shannon, I don't go back to work until Monday. I had a lot of medical I could take, so I took 5 weeks off. I have the 4cc band, not the Ap. My doc doesn't think there's much difference in how it works verses the older bands, so he wasn't going to change to it. He said he was sticking to what he knew worked. Kristin, ask your doc about the excercising. I was realesed at my 2 week appointment to lift weights and do my aerobic DVD's, so it just depends on how you heal. only4me, I'd definitely use your pre op weight. You've worked hard for every pound you lost, didn't you!! Cazulay, are you using any protein powders in your shakes, drinks, etc.? It will help you keep that full feeling longer. Chim, hope you're feeling ok now. Glad you appointment went well and 11 lbs, you go girl!!!
  14. Hi Shannon, welcome to the Lucky 7's. We have a great support group here, so we hope you'll like it as much a s we do!! I'm post op 4 1/2 weeks and feeling great. Down 20 lbs so far.
  15. Danny, it was nothing what I expected it to be. It hurt, cause they had to go through scar tissue to get to it. But was over within 45 seconds or so. I do feel restriction though and I go back for my next fill on August 31. I got 1.4cc on Tueasday and I'll be at 2cc on my next fill.
  16. Danny, great to hear from you. So exciting about the heartbeat. That would be wonderful to travel all over, and at 45. WOW, you're on the right track. I've been battling with this mortgage group I've dealing with since December 11 of LAST year to refi this house. It's a huge mess, and I was getting a lawyer to handle it, but haven't got the funds to do so. So I'm getting taken to the cleaners, pretty much, but they are paying my prepayment penalty so I'll be geting back about $4,800 after the closing. Very long story, but in the end, I believe we are now putting my 1st ans 2nd mortgage(that I took out for surgery) onto 1 loan, so that's why they have to come appraise the house again. They just appraised in January. Oh well, sounds like you're doing great though. I've been on the scale this morning and I'm down 20 lbs. also!!!
  17. Cazulay, don't sell yourself short. You can do a medium, anyone can get to medium, but you have to believe!!! It's so possible with this tool. I've never imagined myself in anything under a xl, but this time, I'm going for a SMALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I have the downstairs all done, now I'm heading to the kids rooms, UGH!! What a nightmare!!!! Be back later.
  18. Cazulay, I'd order one now, and you could always order another later in the school year. If you're a 1x now, you'll probably need a large, but maybe a medium later!!
  19. Dini, sorry I forgot to tell you that Hunter is ok. After my remedy he went about 2 hours later. Thank God, he was in pain. He was telling me his belly hurt, but he wouldn't eat anything for me but cheese. Bad move, but what can you do. After, he ate a whole hot dog on bread, and a snack. So his appetite came back.
  20. Cazulay, no, not moving, we're refinancing the house. On the shirt, when is it for, like when will you have to wear it? Sunny, Vitamin E oil is great for scars, or maderma(sp) for scaring.
  21. Thanks for filling her in Phyl. I've got someone coming to appraise my house, so now I'm re-cleaning my house, dusting, the whole works now. Staying busy, hope it counts as excercise, cause I'm beat already.
  22. Dini, so exciting about the dress. You're doing so great, so keep it up. Hope Annarancesca is ok. I had some problems with Hunter yesteday. He's 3 and half and had his first bout of being "clogged up" and was crying yesteday. Had to get immediate help for him, so made a suppository(sorry if this is TMI)but anyway, 2 hours later, he was going. He's not one to ever cry in pain, so I knew he was hurting, we we're both crying in the bathroom. Marcy, I remember when I got my first tattoo, the guy told me the best think you could put on a tattoo is preperation H. He said is has the healing ingredient and an anti-inlammatory in it. So I went to get some at the store, with my ex at the time who was getting his tattoo the next day, and when we were up to the register I looked at my ex and said "Do you think we should get the bigger tube since you'll be getting yours tomorrow" The register clerk looked at me and her mouth dropped. I had to tell her what we were using it for, cause she was in shock thinking I could tell that my ex would need that for the next day!!! It was so funny. So being on liquids or 2 days again after my fill has done me good. I'm down 2 more lbs from Tuesday. Hope it stays off, but who knows. Back to mushys tonight and solids tomorrow,OMG!! I was suprised to get right back on the computer with no problems today. I guess the yahoo messenger was freezing my computer. Now I wonder if I should try to download it again, since before it was downloaded before the new Nortons Security. Maybe downloading after the security is in place will be better. Any ideas would helpful!!
  23. Here's the things I'm looking forward to: more energy for my son more energy for my DH,LOL better health, quality of life better ability to preform my job self confidence and respect from peers to look decent in a bathing suit new clothes every 3 months for the next year or two!! my tatoo on my back with my low rise daisy dukes!!! oh, and the belly button pierced so I can FEEL like 16 again!! Hey, I missed all that!!! For once, weighing what my license says I weigh, and going under that weight by 40 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Kathy, I'm still struggling with my computer, as I've downloaded all these new programs and it was still freezing up on me. I've been on the phone today with my broadband connection, Microsoft, and Compaq, so not a fun day. I may have figured it out on my own, again, because I wasn't paying Microsoft or Compaq $50 to $60 just to talk to a technician. So, I downloaded Yahoo messenger last week, and ever since, my computer has been doing bad things, so I uninstalled it about 1 hour ago, and ran all these test from PC Doctor. Now, I'm running good again. It goes from one day to the next. So my "life" as you call it has not been one at all, just sitting here watching the computer do nothing. It's aggravating!! But keep you fingers crossed it's working now!!! Did you really think I would leave you all after everything we've been through!!!! My DH laughs at me cause he can tell how frusterated I am to not be on the computer tying away. He thinks it's funny, and I'm about to shoot him!!! He tells me I'm having withdraws, so it must be an addiction!!! Dini, sorry babes I had to disconnect yahoo messenger so we can't talk anymore. Maybe I can try to reinstall in a few days, give this new norton security time to get settled in!! Chim, you get mushys tomorrow?? Great, you'll be ready for the change. I was gonna tell you to buy some fresh fruit and make it into a smoothie. Oh it's so good!! But tomorrow, you'll be trying a lot of new things. dmtjet, how was the ride?? Hope it was a nice night for you. Chris45, welcome back. Sorry to hear about the physical pain you endured, but at least the nurses were great. donholl1, welcome to the Lucky 7's. Marci, love the tatoo. Was that a current pic, or an older one, because it looks brand new, the color is sharp!! Cazulay, it is hard to fix dinner for others and then watch them eat it. I find myself eating at the computer with my backs to my boys, if whatever they are eating is tempting. In two days, I can be eating with them, so I didn't feel too bad for ditching dinner time with them for a month. Jackie506, a compliment from an inlaw, now that's saying something!! Way to go!!
  25. Breadlady, we miss you too, but thanks so much for the update. We'l; hopefully being hearing from you soon!! dmtjet, just think of all the money you'll be saving on the meds you don't have to take anymore. That is wonderful. jeanniepenini, welcome to the Lucky 7's. This is the best support group, and we're happy to have you join us. Kathy, so sorry to hear you sis can't watch the kids for you, but she sounds excited for the changes you are making in your life. That has to feel good in itself!! On the fill side, I hope being on these liquids again for 2 days will give my system a rest and a jump start before my solids on Friday. The head hunger is killing me right now, but managable. I have all these mushy foods around that I can't eat. Has anybody realized that they are throwing away foods more often than before. I'll open something up, and eat some of it for about 3 days, maybe 3 meals out it and then I'm throwing it away. I hate throwing it away so I've started freezing things. I'm getting close to being out of containes, and freezer room!!
