Nicole, I hear you on the hiding the scale idea. Isn't it great to see it going the other way for once. I can't stay off mine, but I think after tomorrow I'm going to have to get rid of mine. Hopefully out of sight, out of mind!!! Congrats on the loss so far. You're doing great!!

Christy, I'll have to hand off the thanks to chimboree on the bracelet idea. She told us about it first, and after checking it out, I thought is was a good idea. It even stated on the web sites that is should be a medically necessary item for bariatric patients. I absolutely love mine. I paid an extra 12 to get is shipped in 2 days. Had to have it, or shall I say wanted it right away. dmtjet, I think my Dr. will be excited for me tomorrow. I hope I'm at that -15 lb. mark in the morning. Going to take a walk later to help me get there. I remember him saying most paitents lose between 15 and 25 lbs. by their 4 week post op appointment, and it would feel great knowing I accomplished it in 2 weeks!!

Thanks ladies, I'm going to have to "trim" them tomorrow before I go. Maybe they'll "accidently fall off in the shower tonight", but I'm afraid to scrub them, so I haven't been, and that's why they are still there, UGH!! nurse 76, how's the shoulder pain? Were yo able to get something for them that wasn't as strong and wouldn't knock you out? Hope your first day back has been good other than that shoulder pain!

Sheelagh, Dini should be on later. She usually checks in when she's at work. Won't be long until you get your Band. What your feeling is normal. Everything will be fine, and Dini can tell you everything as your getting banded by the same Dr. How Cool!!!

OK, have a post op question. Does anyone have medical tape over their incisions? I still have 3 pieces over my biggest incision 2 weeks later, and I'm so scared the DR. is going to pull it off tomorrwow to see how it healed. He said not to touch it, and I haven't, and it's still there, hanging on. Oh I can't imagine how it's going to feel tomorrow if he yanks it off. OUCH! You'll probably hear me scream for miles!!!!

Now if we could only get directions to post a poll on here we'd be set. I'm having no luck. I even PM the moderator Wheetsin to ask her for directions, but no reply yet.

Chimboree, you beat me to it. So you started one?? I thought about it, but I have to keep one in writing for the Dr. and for when I go back to the dietician and psychologist. I didn't see a need to do 2 of them for myself.

Patti C., that is a great idea. If you scroll all the way up to the top of this page you will see it says Journals. Click in this and you can set up your own. You post on it just like you do here. It shouldn't be too hard to set up, but I'm sure you or your friend can get it up and running. Good Luck with it.

AshRae, I'm glad you weren't thinking I was wanting one now. We're just trying to come up with something for our tees next year. I do agree, it would definitely draw more attention to someone bigger to wear this. Who would of thought they'd even make those in 2x,3x. Patti C. "PHAT"= Pretty Hot And Tempting. Dini has a friend that will make up some tees for us for our cruise next year. I was joking and said I'd like something like "Hot" or "PHAT" on the tee. Then I came up with the line, "Used to be FAT and now I'm PHAT" to put on them. We're just kidding around. Danny, glad you feeling full these days. It doesn't take much after you can eat a little substance. My DH will not have to suffer much more. Going to my 1st Dr. visit tomorrow, and if all goes well, I guess I'll have to 'give it up'. Ditto on what Nicole has said. Please realize that we're talking about tees to wear next year on our cruise, when we hopefully have lost A LOT of our weight and hopefully will be at goal. Not to wear now, are you kidding!! I wouldn't dare be caught in one even as a night shirt!!!

"PHAT" stand for Pretty Hot and Tempting!! It's not old age, it may just be the terminology people use these days. I see the younger crowds wearing tees that say this on it. Of course I would of never wore one back in the day when I was younger, because I'd probably be teased, people thinking "FAT" instead of "PHAT". I was jokin, but I thought of it as I was posting so I threw it in. We could put this saying on our tees-"Used to be "FAT", but now I'm "PHAT!!!". I like that better!!

Yes Dini, you'll have to post a pic of th Tees. How cool will it be for all of us to have matching shirts on the cruise. They won't know what to do with us, will they!!! Make sure that they say something like "HOT" on them, or we could use the "PHAT" word, but maybe some won't like that!!LOL!!! Everyone does know what "PHAT" means, don't they???
