  1. Well, we're heading out, don't know where yet, but DH wants to go out. He hasn't got used to the idea that I can't pick the restraunts anymore, so he's in charge of that. Usually he leaves it up to me, and now all I tell him as long as there's soup, I'm set!! I'll check back in, of course, and I added another recipe for a breakfast casserole on our recipe thread!!
  2. Yes Chim. like the new pic. Has a little attitude in it. You go girl!!
  3. Give us a year, and we will all be 'little' HOTTIES!! Oh how I can't wait for the day!!!
  4. You all are a HOOT!!!! I thought my DH wanted it more, but now you all got me psyched up. Brandy, welcome to this crazy bunch of hoohaas we have on here. Really, it is a great group of support, in many ways, and in some you'd never even guess!!! We're excited to have you. Chim, are we gonna have to swap some stories!! jnkntrnk, glad your back, and down 13 lbs. Great job!!! dmtjet, so you want details tomorrow, is that what you're saying!!! We sound like a bunch of men, no offense Danny.
  5. 1 lb. turkey sausage, or sausage of choice 10 eggs, or equivalent in egg beaters 3 cups skim milk 2 tsp dry mustard 8 oz shredded cheese 6 cups cubed bread 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tsp salt Optional- 1/2 cup mushrooms, 1/2 cup chopped tomato, 1/2 cup chopped green pepper. Preheat oven to 325. Mix eggs, milk, mustard, salt, and pepper. Set aside. In a sprayed 9x13 pan, distribute half of the bread. Layer half of the sausage, half of the cheese and half of any optional ingredients. Repeat using the other half of bread, sausage, cheese, and optional ingredients. Pour egg mixture over casserole. Bake uncovered for 55 to 60 minutes. Tent with foil if the top starts to brown too quickly. For smaller portions, cut recipe in half. The family will love this one.
  6. AshRae, that's why I added in the Well, just don't ask part after I said that. Alright already. It's time, and I just asked DH if he was ready for tonight. He looked at me said "Are you healed?" with a SMILE!!!
  7. Sunny, do you really want to go there. How kinky can it be with all the FAT!!!! Well ok, just don't ask, and what do you mean, "Who are you". You're our Sunshine after the rain, that brightens our every day, that makes our grey skies blue. That tells you , "Who are you"!!!!
  8. Patti C. it may be the last of the gas getting ut of your system. Can you walk any with your knee, even a little would help every few hours. Cream cheese is to full size bars, you may want to cut the recipe in half, but if you family in the house, they'll eat it up too. It's great on dare I say croissants, or as a cracker spread too Sorry, I do not have the caloire content. I've always used the regular ingredients insted of the FF ingreidents. Marcy, remember, you have to eat to lose. You haven't been feeling well, so give it time. You'll get there. Christy, I have my own little water log too. I use 4 water bottles, and label the tops 1,2,3,4, and drink them in order throughout the day. Whatever works for you is my motto, just getting it in is important. Ok, I posted an Eggplant Parmesan recipe on our thread, can't wait to make it now, it's a good mushy stage recipe. Someone has already came in to tell us there is whole thread devoted to recipes and we should be posting there. I know this, because I've seen it, but I'm going to keep posting my recipes under our thread. If they want to come in and read, that's great.
  9. 1 eggplant bread crumbs FF or SF spaghetti sauce LF shredded mozzarella cheese FF butter greated parmesan cheese Pre heat broiler to 500. Heat a large skillet and spray with PAM. Slice eggplant into 3/4 inch thick slices. Remove skin if you wish. Dip eggplant slices into Water, and then coat sparingly with bread crumbs. Fry both sides in skillet until the eggplant starts to look translucent. Take off heat. Spoon a small amount of spaghetti sauce over the eggplant. Sprinkly mozzarella cheese sparingly but covering sauce. Use a small amount of butter and dab on top of cheese. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Place the skillet in broiler until cheese gets bubbly. Caution, skillet may be hot so use an oven mitt to remove.
  10. Oh well, , that's ok, they'll just think I'm physic!! Christy, I sent you PM, did you get it? Thanks to all of you for your support. You are the ones that helped me lose that 14 1/2 lbs. I think I lost it in my fingers, all this typing I'm doing!! But it is great to come here, especially when hunger sets in or you get to craving something you can't have. You can come here, get re- focused on your self and what you're trying to accomplish, and get your mind off other things that shouldn't be there. So thanks for all the messages, the late night chats and laughs, and everything. You guys are the best!!
  11. AshRae, love the pic!! Yeah, I know what you mean on the Water. I've got 60ozs. in myself, but I only took one bottle with me to the Dr. appointment or I'd have another one down too. I asked how much is too much, his reply was don't go over 120 ozs a day, for me personally. ReneeMaries Dr told her to take her weight and cut it in half and drink that many ozs, so ask your Dr. for their advice. The more we drink, the faster we will LOSE!!!! OK Christy, getting to the PM now. Let's see if my cutting worked.
  12. 1 large can of chicken breast 2 FF cream cheese bars 2 tbsp FF mayo 1 tsp worcestershirehe sauce 1 tsp lemon juice 4 green onions chopped fine garlic salt to taste Mix all ingredients and refridgerate (overnight if possible- bring out the taste) If you need it thinner, add a little more of the liquid ingredients.
  13. Ok, you all saw the new thread for the recipes. I'll go post my chicken salad recipe, great for mushy stage eating. Christy, I'm on mushys now, yeah. He even said I could have the chili at Wendy's, YUM. I may have to go there like dmtjet did today!!! And I won't forget to PM the questions to you. I'm going to try to cut them from my notepad and copy to a PM for you. Will save a lot of time if it works!!
  14. :clap2:Thanks Christy for the great idea to have a place to gather all our recipes. Please post any recipes you'd like to share with your fellow bandsters.
  15. Back from Dr.s:). Went real well. Down 14 1/2 lbs:whoo:, almost made the 15 lb mark!! I was thinking I should of taken off my jewelery or something:rolleyes:!!LOL!! He was very happy with my progress so he released me to lift weights and do my aerobic workout DVD's.:clap2: He wants me to stick to 3-5oz meals now, and 2 to 3- 3 oz snacks, still staying in the 600 to 900 calories depending on how active I am that day. He's great, he did pull my strips off:faint:, very gently, and the incision looks very well. He told me I could start using vitamin e oil on them to help with the scaring. I don't go back to work until August 6 now, after I've had my first fill, happy about that. More time with my son:clap2:. Phyl, breathtaking photos, finally got to see them with the link. What a nice looking couple you all are. lainy, hope tomorrow is better for you, and the first day post surgery is probably the worst. jess SA, wow, 11 lbs already. You go girl. AshRae, yes I've heard to sip water too, but I can drink a 20 oz bottle in no time at all. I'm sure it will be diferent once we get a fill though. I think they just want us to prepare for that. Danny, guess I gotta give it up after the great appointment I had. Dini, Can't wait to see the tees. Hey, make mine a SMALL- it will give me some more motivation!!! Marcy, what was your DH thinking??????? Hope the dizzyness is gone for good. Vicodine makes me sick every time. I can't take it at all. Christy, we can start a new thread under the July 07 thread for recipes. I love the idea, I'm always cooking up something good, and I'd love to share. Glad you liked the chicken salad. I'll post that one on our new thread. I'll PM you the list of questions as it was quite long. Give me a little bit to type it all out. Oh, and thanks for the info on the plastics and dioxins. Interesting read for us women. I'll have to change some things in my own life.
  16. Ok, I'm out, but I'll see you all later after my appointment.
  17. ReneeMarie, there are two polls. Did you see the one to choose the destination of the cruise, it's right under the to bring or not to bring a spouse/partner poll.
  18. Good morning Christy, are you at work again? Hows the shoulder pain this morning? Still there? Hope its getting better for you!
  19. Anyone having back pain, could it be caused from lack of bowels moving? Just a thought.
  20. Jackie, glad you have your antibiotics now. Too bad you were uninformed about them being in the pharmacy on Saturday. At my pre admission testing for the hospital they did tell me that even if I still had my sinus infection it would not of delayed surgery. So hang in there, you may be worring for nothing!! dmtjet, let us know how your support group goes tonight. Mine is the last Tuesday of every month, so next Tuesday I'll let you know how mine goes. Renee Marie, did you find the polls??? Let me know today and I can direct you if you're till having problems! Wrangler, my surgery was about 45 minutes. Just remember they need some time to knock you our and get your belly cleaned off, intruments set up, etc. before starting, but you should be done within an hour. Cazulay, love the new pic!! and congrats on losing a few pre op. Phyl, I still se those little boxes with the red X in them for your pics, wonder why I can't open them?? Kathybad, isin't it amazing to see our little ones eat?? I pray my son doesn't take after me, becasue at this stage it's getting harder to get decent food into him. All he wants is junk food, which is what his 155 lb father eats. Hope he gets my DH's metabolism too!!! Well, I'm headed to the shower this morning before my Dr. appointment. Crazy thing is I'm been more nervous about this follow up appointment than I was going to the hospital for surgery!!!!!! Wonder why that is?? I have 2 pages typed with questions for him, and I'm anxious to see what I weigh on their scales. I'll check back in later. Everyone have a great day.
  21. Hello again Kathybad. Sorry guys, but I'm heading out for bed. Here's to the 7/17 Bandsters tomorrow. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you have a speedy recovery, minimal pain, and come back to see us when you feel up to it. We'd love to hear about your experiences!!! G'nite all.
  22. byneNTyme, Great to hear your doing well, and 12 lbs. is great. I'm down 14, not too bad for no pre op diet. I've been out walking and that's all I'm allowed, Dr. orders. for two more weeks. I go tomorrow for my check up. Great to hear you're doing well. The Lucky 7's are planning a Bandaversary Cruise next year, around 08/08/08. Some of us would like to meet in person. Think about it. We have a poll going for the destination for the cruise, and whether you'd like to bring along a spouse/partner. Talk to you later.
  23. Peaches, I'm not sure but we can find out and let you know.
  24. Lady QT, welcome and congrats on getting a date. We're excited to have you on board!
  25. Dini, yes I loved my walk. The best 45 minutes to myself I can imagine having. I was going for an hour, but my miusic had me walking so fast, I did my route and got home quicker. Gota love that. Has your day been better? Did you see the polls yet?? How is Annafransesca. I think I spell her name different every time I type it. I'm trying very hard to get it right. I'll have to write it down next time you talk about her so I can get it right next time. Felicia, don't question the no hunger girl, just pray it never goes away. 18mts, by Dr. orders, I'm only allowed 4 ozs. at a meal, and I'm to take 1/2 hour to eat it/drink it. I did try some mushy things, just to see. It went down fine, but then I thought if something did happen how would I explain things to my doc. Don't forget you may gain weight after surgeries from gas, pain meds. etc. It's normal. You'll be fine. Laurend, my first fill is on July 31, 4 weeks post op. I know things will be totally different then. I just can't wait for these mushys tomorrow, well, I cheated and started tonight, but I am 2 weeks post op, and if I did have trouble, then I could let him know tomorrow when I go. But my home made mashed potatoes tonight were like dining at a 5 star restaurant!!!!
