I posted a new blog after I returned from OCC (Obesity Control Center) to observe some surgeries. Some of the pictures might be a little too much for some - but if you want to see why a gastric sleeve really works, why it controls appetite and eating, but how much is really removed, it is a great educational opportunity. again - a warning - there are pictures of the removed portion of the stomach after a gastric sleeve surgery... pretty awesome!

Make sure you understand that the Dr. Ortiz at Mi Doctor is NOT Dr. Ariel Ortiz from Obesity Control Center... 2 very different doctors, 2 very different facilities. Make sure you know who is doing your surgery!
