  1. I initially was going with the band but when I discussed it with my PCP, she suggested the sleeve and gave me the run down. Her view on wls is that if you are going to do it, go all the way. The band can be adjusted and
  2. You look great!! I'm hoping I look that good at 6 months. Keep up the good work!!
  3. Mella_J. You all can add me too!!
  4. I have the same issue with the fluids. My doctor reminds me to count the jello an Popsicles as well. I'm having issues with plain water, can't Stan the taste so I'm making myself use crystal light which I didn't have to use before. The sipping drives me crazy because it takes me forever to get through a bottle of water.
  5. Congrats!!! I can't wait for my stomach to go away. It's been a pain in my ass for too long. I'm only a week out and I've noticed it has gone down some already.
  6. That is awesome!!! I can't wait to start back exercising. You are my motivation!!
  7. That is an option!!! Lol
  8. Thanks ladies. Thankfully there's nothing oozing but Im planning to call the doc in the morning.
  9. I don't want mine to get any smaller!! Lol
  10. One of my incisions is bleeding a little bit. I think I may have bumped it when I was doing laundy. Have anyone else had this happen? Should I be concerned? I feel the occasional sting from the incision but that's about it.
  11. I'm eating soft mushy foods. I'm able to tolerate boiled eggs and cream of wheat. I've had mashed potatoes and even tuna (seriously just tuna). I'm also having protein shakes. Like I said my stomach makes a noise and I feel like it wants something. I'm only able to take a few bites. Today I wanted a banana so bad but I knew I couldn't finish it and no one else in my household like them enough to share. Hope this helps. Oh and jello and sugar free popsicles are my best friend when I'm craving sweets.
  12. I'm 9 days post op and I'm not sure what my full feeling or hungry feeling is either. I've just been doing trial an error. I know when my stomach hurts while I'm eating, I stop. If it hurts while I'm not eating, I try to eat a little something or drink something. This is definitely a work in progress.
  13. I'm in Milwaukee and I was sleeved last week. I'm looking for some local folks as well.
  14. Just remember this is a tool to help you get to where you want to be. Don't overindulge on unhealthy foods before your surgery. Practice better eating habits and choices so it won't be such a big deal months later. I had surgery last week and I'm just as excited to see my transformation!! Good luck and your date will be here before you know it.
  15. I just had my sleeve on Monday, May 7th and I swear I was worried about the exact same thing. I'm a single mom to and I beat myself up thinking about what if I don't get off this table. (and I'm a grey's fan too, lol). I talked to my son about the surgery and made sure he was ok. That morning, I almost didn't leave because of fear. But then I remembered that I'm doing this for all the right reasons. I need to get healthy so I can play with my grand kids. I prayed on it and went in without any doubts. I had some issues afterwards but I'm doing well.
  16. Thanks I will try them!! Good luck with your surgery.
  17. I was sleeved on May 7th and have the same issue of feeling like I'm not drinking enough. The nurse reminded me that Popsicles and hello count as well. My plan is to drink a whole lot of water.
  18. Hi, I'm 5 days post op and feeling good about being sleeved. I'm feeling somewhat overwhelmed with the eating plan but Im getting there. Anyone have suggestions on a multivitamin, i ordered some specifically for wls patients. They are huge and taste dusgusting. Look forward to chatting with folks who have been there.
