Iml - so sorry to hear you have LE too!! Ive had it since I was 28 and I'm 50 now!!! I'm so thrilled for you that you don't have to use your pump as often!!! I've been off the pump for years now - ever since I had MLD therapy - made a huge difference for me!!!!

Hi James - I have Primary Lymphedema - and I can tell you since surgery my swelling is way down. This won't cure me - but getting my weight down helps!

I was sleeved Wednesday the 23rd and went back to work Monday the 28th - I have a desk job and I'm able to work a few hours - go home and rest for a couple of hours - then go back and work a few more hours. I think tomorrow I will be able to pull a normal 12-14 hour day

I have to lose 77 lbs to get out of being medically overweight. I don't think that's such a small amount that this plateau should be happening. When I was on my pre-op diet' date=' I lost 5 lbs a week. I am feeling really cheated and ultra-sensitive and negative. I look on this site alone and everyone's bio says that they lost 10-15 lbs their first few weeks out of surgery. I realize there is no going back and I just have to get used to it, but I was looking for some peace of mind, someone to tell me that they are now the weight they want to be and they lost weight as slow as molasses in the beginning too.[/quote']Pink - I am so sorry - I know there are many posters on here that have been having problems with depression after sleeve -
So - let's try again . Are you getting in all your liquids and Proteins? Are you able to work out yet? Maybe it's due to the fact you did so well pre-op that your body is in that fighting stage right now where it doesnt want to let go of the fat? And sometimes I've heard it said when you have less to lose that it goes a little slower.

I am so sure you hate to be mean. Do you hate to be useless too? Your advice is. And it's LOSE.Sorry - it's why I apologized ahead of time.

Wow - okay - first thing you need to do is pull yourself up out of the pity party. And I apologize, I hate to be mean and don't want to be insensitive. But you need to get a hold of yourself sweetie! This is a TOOL to help you loose the weight. Everyone looses at a different pace - and keeping yourself positive goes a long way in helping with that. All that being said, are you getting in the required liquids, Protein, etc? If you are and you are getting some good walking in, etc. The weight will start to come off. And 17 pounds is nothing to cry about!! Your attitude right now may be part of the problem. I'm so sorry you are having such a horrible time with this - but try to get yourself together and follow your eating plan to the tea - exercise and you will start to see the weight drop off.

Way to go girls!!! I'm proud of those of us that have quit. And I was hard core too - I really enjoyed smoking. But heck, I haven't had one for the OAS three days - why start back up? It doesn't even sound good to me

Way to go Tibby :-) can you share some of your will power and strength? LolYou bet!!! Sending you the will power and strength at this very moment. I think much like weight loss - if we work together through this - we can make it. Shame to go to all this trouble to be healthy and then continue to smoke. And my husband smokes as do many of the people I work with. I'm not going to let that detur me

I don't believe the Patches will cause you heeling to slow. Many doctors give tem to their surgery patients while in the hospital. But trust me - smoking will be the last thing on your mind! I haven't had any cravings for it at all! And I would consider myself a very dedicated smoker! Lol

Historically when ever i have been on a diet and hit a stall - I would go get a massage and would always lose that week! Something about getting everything moving around in you body - it's great! I would try it if I were you guys

I am/was a smoker. I haven't had a smoke since Tuesday - and don't really want one. I have my e-cig but right now not using that either. After 30 years of smoking a pack a day - I've decided to become a quitter . Why not - I've become a looser might as well be a quitter too! Lol
