I am 3 weeks out and I took 1/2 of a Ckn breast & put it in my food processor & diced it really small & added a little light miracle whip. It was quite delicious. I haven't tried lunch meat yet. But. I think if u just chew it really good u will b ok. I have been eating soups with chicken in it & just chewing it really well. And I have been ok. Good luck!

I was sleeved march 25. Almost 3 weeks ago. I'm hungry all the time. I'm kind of freaking out thinking I've already stretched my sleeve out. Whn I eat it's 1/2 cup at a time. Lo fat soups or tuna salad. I had a protein shake for breakfast, 1/2 cup lo at soup for lunch & just had a fat free pudding for snack. I feel like I could still eat more. Is this normal? I just started feeling the hunger for the last few days. Any suggestions or comments?

The same thing is happening to me. I was sleeved on 4-25 and my left side started getting bad last Thursday. I can't even lay flat on my back or on my side anymore. My surgeon says the pain is due to movement. But If you want to get better you have to move around. Sitting for 8 hours at my desk is killing me. Lortab takes the edge off but. Doesn't take away all the pain. Driving hurts so bad. But. I have to get to work. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this pain. I thought something was terribly wrong

Why won't insurance cover the sleeve for all of you? Just because you don't meet the BMI and such? After seeing how expensive it is. I feel so blessed. My insurance covered my surgery 100%

Jill- Thanks so much for responding!! I thought I was just crazy!! My husband thinks I'm doing to much& need to relax more. I don't think I'm doing too much. I'm just so tired of havinig this cramping. I was sleeved 4-25 & just want to get better!! Just like u. Whn I'm moving around for awhile. I have to lay back & relax. I feel like I'm 90 years old. Lol

So none of you had pains in your stomach? I feel like my stomach is contracting& moving Around. The pain is something awful. When I laugh,cough,& sneeze is so painful. The stomach cramping didn't start happening until I started back to work Wednesday. That's the same day I started mushy foods as well. I had my 2 wk follow up with surgeon & he said I looked great & could even start exercising. I have energy & feel great other than my whole left side hurting terribly. Especially whn I drive. Is it just my muscle that I have to re work. Or the food I'm eating? Any help Would be greatly appreciated. Katie

I was sleeved on 4-25. 4 days later went to super walmart with my husband and shopped for an hour. I did good. I started back to work this week. Worked Wednesday for 4 hours, Thursday for 8 and today for 8. I am in more pain today than I have been in since the hospital. I had my 2 week check up with my surgeon & he said I look great. I have energy but I'm still so sore where they removed my stomach. I feel like it's cramping a lot today& I'm so uncomfortable to drive. So we are all recovering so differently. I think I did too much when I shouldn't have& now I'm paying for it. Any thoughts to why you think im so sore today whn I'm 2 weeks out?

I had to do my swallow test literally an hour after I woke up from surgery. It was awful! They wouldn't let me have any ice chips or a drink of water until I passed the swallow test.

Im 13 days out,& Yes my heart races when i drink a whole protein shake in one sitting. It didn't do this before surgery. But. It does now.

How do you get STD? I am contracted through a company so I dont have any vacation time. Im just not getting paid.

Wow! You look amazing!! Were you able to firm up all your excess skin? Sure looks like it in the photo. My husband is sure I can tone mine up with exercise. And by the looks of you; he is correct!! When did you get your sleeve? How much weight have you lost,& what were you losing weekly. What did you weigh when you started your journey? What do you normally eat? I was sleeved 4-25 and I'm still in a little pain. But, can't wait a couple more weeks whn I can start working out. Before the 2 wk liquid diet i weighed 263. As of today I am 240! I have a long ways to go. But, I am proud of myself. The liquid diet before surgery is so hard. And being that I'm 12 days out now. Im getting hungry. So resisting food is hard. I'm tired of soup. I want something with some consistency. 2 more days & I can start pureed foods Sorry for all the questions. But. You look great,& I just want to know what is typical whn you are diligent. My surgery was april 25. My doctor told me to take 2 weeks off. I decided i didn't need that much time off. And told my work I would be back may 1. I made it 3 hours then went in on May 3 for a few hours. I felt miserable driving,& sitting at my desk. It was stupid even trying to go in. I didn't try to go in may 4. I thought taking a long weekend off i would be ok going back today. No way, im not ready. I'm 12 days out and still taking pain meds almost every 4-6 hrs. If I don't. My left side hurts. And as of last night. My lower stomach hurts. All that being said. Take as much time off as you need, & I am sure your doctor will approve more time off for you. Take care!! Katie

My sugary was April 25. Are you still in pain? I move around great, but have to walk very slow and it hurts my stomach when I try to walk normal. I am still taking pain meds regularly cause if I don't. Im in pain. When are you going back to work full time? I went into my office for a few hours a couple times last week,& I was so sore I had to leave. Sitting straight up in a desk chair was just too much. Do you think I am babying myself too much?

I was sleeved April 25. I was never an apple juice drinker, but i love it now. I drink the lite apple juice. sugar free. I drink a lot of crystal light,& zero Vitamin waters. I just gained an appetite Friday, along with the appetite I am thirstier as well. I'm only able to drink 1 high Protein ensure a day and that is only 25 grams of protein. I've been eating about 1/2 can Of 98% free cream of Ckn Soup a day. Any other suggestions on Soups? I feel like the crm of Ckn soup has a ton of sodium,& I wnt something different.

I am 10 days out, and when I do too much it is pain in my left rib... No where else. Has anyone else had this?

I had my surgery April 25. I'm healing well. The only problem i'm having is pain in my left rib. Nurse said that was due to them removing the majority of my stomach from that side. Has Anyone else had this problem? If I didn't have This pain, I would say I am 90% healed. Good luck to all of you! Katie
