Lindaa, congrats on your NSV!!! Don't you just love the band?!?!?! You'll be off that med in no time! Appleblossom, work it!!! You're gonna get that sexy new dress and be a knockout at that convention/conference! SSankof, way to go! That's right. Get back in the saddle. Be proud of yourself for sticking to the exercise. We all understand how during that TOM, no one wants to do anything. Aunt Flo just makes it that way for some of us. Your consistency will continue to pay off! Brandy, I am so proud of you! Look at how great you're doing. And from the sounds of your menu, you're making great choices. Keep it up. Indiogirl, LOL!!! The Food Angel. I love it! We'll help keep you on track, as you do w/us. Hi Auntie Phyl, Dini (where are you), Sunny, Kathybad, Jackie, Frustrated, Caolin, MsPris (we've MISSED you!!!), and everyone else. P.S.- I also have a part-time job (working at the Hampton Inn), so I've been super busy. I really miss ya'll!

Hey Gang! Wow there's a lot of us on tonight. I love it! Sorry I've been MIA, but I've been sick as a dog...like ER sick. Have a few (yes, a few) infections raging...sinus, ear, and down below...thanks to antibiotics. Anyhow. I was prescribed some antibiotics that made me VIOLENTLY ill. I was throwing up for an hour. I had to go to the ER to get the vomiting under control. It was bad. They got it under control and gave me IV fluids and then ordered a CT scan of my stomach. It came back okay. They changed my antibiotic and I was fine. But, the infections still rage on. So, I had to go back to the docs again. I just got another antibiotic, which I started today. So far, no nausea, so it's all good. Hopefully this round of antibiotics will do it. I see everyone's doing so well! Lynette, congrats on getting to Onederland!!! That is so awesome! I'm gonna go back and read the rest of the posts b/c I need to catch up.

Just doing a little research about this...maybe it has s'thing to do w/the vagus nerve. Maybe that's why we're feeling some throat tightness...I see that the vagus nerve controls some of the pharyngeal constrictor muscles...hmmmmm...I think I may be on to s'thing here...I'll continue to research.

I've felt this very thing! I was just filled on 9/27 and I've felt the muscle tightness in my throat, too. My doc has his patients do liquids for 24 hrs following a fill, then we can continue eating solids as normal. I've been taking it slow and have been doing well so far. I did get s'thing stuck the first time I ate some solids (scrambled eggs), but that was b/c I'd been used to taking bigger bites. I've since adjusted and am doing okay. But I thought it was weird, too, about the throat tightness. What's up w/that??? I can get liquids down fine and my food (as long as I chew like a good Bandster). Maybe it's just residual swelling...I guess I'll give it about a month and see how I do. I'm glad you posted this!

Good morning gang! How's everyone???

We're glad to be your virtual family!!! (((HUGS)))

Awwww.... I'm missing ya'll, too! I hope I don't have to work these crazy hours for too much longer. It's wearing me down! (Got really sick last week...that'll be another post) I'm also missing my exercise. We love your posts! Like Lindaa said, don't stop!!! I miss Lynette, too. Where are you?

Hey gang! I had my first fill yesterday. I got 2ccs put in. I definitely feel the restriction. This morning I had my first meal. I had something get stuck. It went down and I was okay after that. I just had to re-adjust to having restriction. I am super excited!

I AM SOOOOO JEALOUS!!! I want one now!!!! I've been wanting one for a while, but I have others things I have to buy first...you lucky duck!!! Marcy, first, congrats on reaching 238!!! That is wonderful! As for what you mentioned above, I think you're talking about sliming and not PBing. Neither one is fun, though. Appleblossom, I am loving the fall colors/theme you've got going on w/your posts! Citygirl, I'm sorry about your fill drama. I go tomorrow for my first fill and I hope it is pretty uneventful. I'll let ya'll know how it goes. Chris, YAY!! You got your fill. My first is tomorrow. And look at all those NSVs!!! Congratulations. Sorry about the bill. That bites, but I'm sure you'll be able to appeal it and win.

Hey gang. Sorry I've been MIA. 9/25 - 20 minute walk (during my lunch). This seems so lame, but I'm trying to get back in the swing of things given this psycho work schedule! Everyone is doing such an awesome job!!! I go for my first fill tomorrow. (My docs wait 8 weeks before the first fill.) And boy do I need it!

Lindaa, that is too cool! You're an Oct 26th baby, too! I had also read that Mahalia Jackson and Pat Sajak share our b-day. I understand that our bodies are a bit swollen in the mornings, so that's why the band feels tighter and loosens throughout the day. You are so right!!! Exercise is DEFINITELY the way to go. It will help w/our wt loss, but it also helps w/our overall mood and energy. I love exercise and certainly miss it when I don't get to do it.

Congratulations!!! What a feeling, right????

Hi Indio! I haven't gotten my BodyBugg, yet. I think I may get it for Christmas...if not sooner. Maybe for my birthday (Oct 26th). We'll see. It is a bit pricey, but those who have it, swear by it. Caz, I can't believe it, either. I feel like I've definitely gained during this time, but everyone keeps telling me how great I look. Guess I'll find out next week. Only bad thing is, Aunt Flo is coming next week, so she'll be bringing some extra Water weight.:woot: Breadlady, I agree, this is an awesome group! I always visit the Before and After thread. Sooooo much inspiration there. Thank you so much, Brandy! I hope so, too!!! As for not weighing myself, I don't even own a scale. I know how I am, so it's better that I don't get one. Kathy, I live in Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County. I live in Lexington Park, MD near the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. It's about an hour south of Washington, D.C. I know where both Gaithersburg and Damascus are. I've lived here all of my life...born and raised. SSank, I had to laugh! Your hooves were on fire. Oh the price we pay for beauty and cuteness! LOL!!!

Good for you!!! You worked it out, even in the rain!!! Now that's commitment and determination! I'm sorry about your PB. Getting stuck and PB'ing is no fun at all. It bites the big one. I know I will be doing all that I can to avoid a PB. The golf ball feeling, the watery eyes, the runny nose... But, I still LOVE my band!!! :biggrin1:

Hey gang! How's everyone? Kathy, a huge congratulations to you on the adoption. It's official now!!! And what a lovely family you have. You're gonna be in my neck of the woods! You're coming to Maryland. Yay! I'm 2 hours south of Baltimore, though. Yes, you absolutely HAVE to eat crab when you come to Maryland. We are known for them. Hey Dini sweetie! What's new? I can't wait until I get my first fill. Can ya'll believe I still haven't had my first fill, yet? Not until 9/27. I need one ASAP. Most of you are on your 2nd and 3rd fill. :cry I can eat quite a bit, so the 27th can't get here fast enough. Not sure of my weight loss b/c I don't weigh myself. I wait until my doc appts for that. Other people keep telling me that I look great and that I'm losing...guess I'll know soon enough. I hope my doc is aggressive w/filling.

Congrats, Dini!!! I'm so happy for you!

Hey gang! Sorry I haven't been on in a few days. I don't have internet at home anymore, sooo I don't get to pop in as often. I'm thinking of switching to Verizon as my internet provider. We'll see. I had a cable modem, but their prices are just ridiculous. Anyhow... Guess who had her first PB??? :omg: On Saturday, I went to work @ 7am. I had breakfast, but no lunch. I know...bad girl, but I don't make skipping meals a habit. Dinner rolls around and I'm starving. I was riding w/my cousin and we stopped at Roy Rogers. I got a burger - the first since my surgery. I took a bite and chewed. Obviously, I took too big a bite b/c I felt that golfball feeling. I was hoping it would just go down, but it didn't. I got really quiet. My cousin looked at me and could tell s'thing was wrong. I wouldn't talk and my eyes began to water. I did manage to say s'thing's stuck. She asked if she could do anything to help. Nope. Then all of a sudden, it came up and I puked in the McDonald's drive thru (we were getting her kids some nuggets). I immediately felt better and I continued to eat. Of course, I took smaller bites and chewed like crazy. The rest of the day, my cousin and I kept cracking up about my first PB. I can laugh now, but at the time, it sure wasn't funny.

Yeah working this hard is a biatch...but we've gotta do it, huh? I get to see Marion on the weekends b/c we're both so busy during the week. We have a lot of fun together. Sorry...he doesn't have any brothers. Just a sister. I'll keep my eye out for you though! LOL. Sorry about the gas! How stupid is that? Why are they estimating anyway? Just get the actual reading and be done w/it. And why did they all of sudden decide to not estimate this month? Your sayings crack me up. Cheeky cow, moany cow. Hahahahaaaa!!!

Hi Chloe! I was banded 7/25 and haven't been filled, yet. My first fill is on 9/27. I have lost 17lbs. I'm sure I've lost more since my last doctor's visit. I refuse to weigh myself, so I just wait until each doc's appt. I can tell I'm still losing b/c my clothes are fitting differently! YAY! I'm glad all things are going well for you!
-
Marcy, I didn't get to tell you congrats on your anniversary!!!! Your DH is awesome! That was so romantic of him. And the diamond!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!! I'm so jealous. :car: Congratulations, again!
-
Hey Dini!!! What's happening girl? I'm doing okay. As you can see, I'm working like crazy, too. I'm still talking to Marion and things are going great! I really like him. :car:

LOL. I am doing it 4 days/week - Mon, Wed, Thu, and Fri. I have some things I want to do in my new (6 mos old) condo and I prefer to pay cash... I know it's nuts, but I'm my sole support. Wish I had a hubby to help...but oh well. In God's timing, that will happen, too.

BTW, GOOD MORNING, everyone!!! I hope you all have a fantastic day! Cherea
