Hello all, I am 47 and have an April 1st date. I am really getting nervous and also feeling my weight more and more each day. It makes me hopeful though that maybe this will really be my turning point.

Hey SkinnyMom, thanks. Hopefully he will be back the day before, but you never know with air travel and international at that. I really hadn't wanted to tell any of the other family members here, so we'll see. It may come down to a friend from work if I am desperate. I would just hate to be a baby around anyone else.

Ok, waiting for a forum then. Until then, just found out my husband may not be here for my surgery date on the 1st. Yikes! Can I do it alone?

Wow! Look at all th people who joined in! I am not on a preop diet. My doctor doesn't require one; although, I might do one for a couple of days on my own. I am from SC, but I live in Kuwait. I am really getting nervous and excited at the same time. One thing that is a bit worrying is that I am a vegetarian. I guess I will just drink veggie broth for the first few days? Can't wait to hear more from all of y'all. One of my biggest hopes is that this summer when I fly home, I can fit comfortably in the airplane seat and not crowd my children in!

Went for my consult and to confirm April 1st as my date. Getting really nervous. I am a bit worried because everyone I have read about says they had a leak test, and when I asked about it, she told me they don't do one. She said if there were to be a leak, the first two days would be too early for it. She said it was important to monitor for symptoms and follow up immediately if there are any. Has anyone ever hear of not having a leak test?

Hey- I'm wondering about hair loss and sleeve surgery. I am to have mine soon and am already having hair loss due to hormone changes, I think. So I am scared I may go bald! Anyone have any info related to this?
