I've noticed if I'm late on taking pain meds.. I quickly feel horrible. Like this morning woke up feeling terrible. Took a pain Med and I'm feeling alittle better. Having trouble myself with taking in the amount of liquid required but yesterday I took in alittle more then the day before. But like I said far off from what I should be taking in. If its just 1 or 2 more Med cups from the day before its good and thats how I gotta look at it

Yes I definitly say I wasnt fully prepared of what happens after surgery. Not that I didnt read about it. Which I did. But its almost like if you dont experience it you don't really know.

4 days post op. And yes grumbling is loud.. scared the crap out of my dog. Chest pains aka gas pains I'm managing with gas x strips. Haven't experienced weight gain. Actually weight loss I'm down 9 pounds as of this morning. But since I've only been on liquids since Monday I'm not surprised. Hopes are every day will be alittle bit better. It really is hard right now. But keep trying to tell myself in the end it will be sooo worth it. Especially helps talking to those going through the same thing.

Today I'm officially 4 days post op. And totally understand what your feeling. Taking one day at a time and hoping to just get in alittle more in each day. Very hard though.

No I haven't tried SF Popsicles. But it will be on the shopping list though since I've heard this mentioned a few times. Its really helpful talking to others who have been so recently sleeved like myself

Came home yesterday after having surgery Tuesday. Been having horrible gas pains. Last night ( first night home) I was in alot of pain .. crying from them. Swallowing pain Meds with too much Water was an another issue. Gas bubble sitting in my chest and then almost got sick from taking in too much at one time. Today started gas x strips which seems to make the gas pains alittle more tolerable. And been sipping on water, Powerade zero and clear Protein. Seems to help with some dehydration cramps in my arms. Hoping things will get better.. anyone else has gone through this??

Came home yesterday. Gas pains are horrible. Been using gas x strips as of today which has helped. But sounds like a ping pong match is going on in my abdomen with gas bubbles. Trying to drink which is hard with the gas pain. So I'm getting cramps in my arms. I'm just hoping this all passes soon.

Keep hearing some people have alot of emotional issues after the surgery... bad moods, depression, isolating someone self... etc etc
what should i be prepared to expect...more so what should i tell my loved ones to expect..while keeping in mind to be calm and easy going with all the changes...( FOR THE BETTER !!!!)

When Did You Start Protein Drinks After Surgery?

I'm 5 days post op. I've been trying to take in liquid as much as I can. Unfortunately I'm not at the intake that the nut said I should be. I use Med cups and I know it isnt much ( being 1 Med cup is 1 oz).. but I use the clear Protein and take in 4-5 oz of protein a day since I've been home. ( which was 3/15.. 2 days post op). Again not much since whole bottle is 30 grams of protein but at least it's something.
