hollygolightly got a reaction from kenni in Omg Back To Work Todayi too was concerned about returning after 7 weeks off. My surgeon told me to accept the compliments and just keep repeating "thanks I feel great". It seems to work to ward off the attention and questions so far.

hollygolightly got a reaction from vsglosingit in Feeling IndifferentBeing overweight was keeping my relationship from moving forward for years. Once I decided to have surgery, I felt there may be hope for finally getting married and feeling attractive again. Since surgery, my BF has been more distant than ever. I am starting to think I just need to focus on myself and maybe all that I wanted over the years (to get married to him) may not be what I want after all.
I can tell you the only focus I have is to get this weight off. Who knows how our relationship will turn out but for once it is about ME and what I WANT to happen. It's kind of empowering to have choice when you don't have the extra weight as an excuse for being treated unfairly.

hollygolightly got a reaction from tfyit in Protein Help!I went through the same thing. I worried constantly about my protein. At four weeks out, I get about half of what I am supposed to but I feel fine. I don't stress about it anymore because it's not good for me. I drink fluids all day and focus on feeling better not how much I ate or drank. I know this sounds like I am not following my dr's directions but you can go crazy thinking about it all day long. Drink what you can, go for a walk and catch up on your shows. Part of this journey is to slow down and take care of you!
