  3. Just stick to what your doctor tells you to no matter what. Everyone has a different path to follow just make sure you stick the the path that you told to be on! LOL
  4. Im still having a time eating alot of foods. My stomach spiraled during surgery so I have to eat slowly and very little food but several times a day. I drink tons of water throughout the day and I have yet to feel hungry. Good luck to all!

  9. NSAIDS = non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs Blind NG tube = gastric intubation vis the nasal passage without visualization
  10. I think im going to go ahead and get one. I would just feel better if they knew I had surgery just in case im unable to tell them. Its worth it to me just not to worry about the what ifs!

  12. Did anyone purchase a medical alert bracelet after surgery to inform medical personel that you have had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy? If so what did you have put on it?

  14. They say that you shouldn't drink caffeinated beverages because caffeine is a natural diuretic and we are trying to get in enough water not get rid of it.

  16. Pro Joe has a Chai Tea protein drink. Mabey you could try that for a little spice.

  20. The protein is such a struggle for me. I will be glad when I can get it all in. Your doing great at the protein intake!
  21. I'm 3 weeks out and there is no way I can eat that much. I'm only on the purred stage and that doesn't seem to settle well. I will be glad when I can eat more variety.
  22. Pain meds can make you constipated so you might want to see about taking a stool softener. My first time going after surgery was awful!
