BigToeVSG reacted to Indymom in Help....12 Days PostIf you're not taking a PPI/antacid, I would recommend starting one - the increased acid reflux can mimic hunger. Keep in mind, too, that since you're just likely on liquids (or maybe starting purees) most of what you're taking in goes right through you.
Once you start on solids, you'll be amazed at how quickly you get full. Just keep hanging in there, the first couple months are the roughest. I agree that you should avoid the scale daily (although I really didn't!) and just weigh once a week, in the morning, at the same time . . . that's the best barometer for your loss.

BigToeVSG got a reaction from Amanda 3.0 in It's Girl Scout Cookie Season....aaarrrrgggghhh!We had two different groups of scouts at the door, both daughters of friends so we try to be helpful. What we do, however, is freeze them or I bring them to work. Then I can push them on my co-workers instead of eating them myself. Although I still get hungry, I have successfuly avoided all the sugar. My kids and wife will eat the Cookies but they don't have the "control" issues that I had prior to being sleeved....
Good luck, stay firm. When you only get to eat a little, you better make sure your calories count.

BigToeVSG got a reaction from 2bfit in 4 Weeks Post Op!Glad you are doing so good and it sounds like you have had relatively few complications which is always a good sign. I am sure your hubby's compliments not only reflect your body changes but also your attitude changes. Losing weight gives us energy and lifts our spirits. Congrats and keep up the great work!

BigToeVSG got a reaction from hadouni in Clear Liquid Diet QuestionHang in there. You're almost there. I'm five weeks post-op and have already gone through the gambit of emotions but no regrets. Right before surgery your emotions are running wild so concentrate on the logical thought process that went into your decision and actions leading up to surgery. There are so many reasons to be healthy. Follow the program and it will work regardless of any thyroid issues. Good luck and prayers!!!
