  1. I choose not to be a victim of bullying from others or myself. Think about that.

I have said things to myself that I wouldn't take from another person. I am determined to be firmly in my own corner in the battle of life.

Thanks folks! Mrs. G is doing great, enjoying her slimness and Florida. It seems we really hate cold weather now that we have been here a couple years. We go into a chilly grocery store and come out

aching. We are thankful for the extreme heat here...:D

  4. I haven't updated in a long time. I am still under goal, in great shape, very tan due to extended time in the Florida sun. At least it is sort of a tan...or the convergence of many freckles.. :D

I was kidding a friend I have in Ohio where I used to live about my sandals lifestyle down near Tampa. Then the snow melted and flooded her farm. I let up on her. :D

I was at the same place over 2 years ago. I could not afford another failed attempt, it had to come off, my life depended on it. I made the call...I was right.

  13. Wishing that I didn't feel like looking in to wls as a copout. I should be able to do this myself, shouldn't I. And, I have, really sucessfully...just haven't been able to maintain it. Smh

I couldn't afford to wait on diets.I could not afford to fail again. My life depended on it. My addiction to over-eating and hormonal problems were impossible to break. The sleeve interrupted it. I still had to make effort but the sleeve was a powerful tool. I would not go back.

I have made many joyful discoveries at thrift stores. Other than supplying me clothing when I was too big for regular stores they were a blessing for my transition clothes. I got a new Keurig Special Edition there for $40.!

  17. Hard labor this week, post hole digging in dense wooded area having to cut roots every few inches with a Saws-all. Also hauling lmany arge boards the 350 feet back through trails to the dock area where we are working. Sore everywhere but grateful to God that I have the energy and health to go get it done.

Wow, Florida does present challenges! That dense wooded area I was talking about ended up giving me a bad case of poison sumac. The next weeks afforded little sleep and a lot of crabbiness. My relief was a scrub cslled Technu. It took days to get me anywhere though. There's a price to live in paradise! :D

Brings back not so fond memories. My first run-to-the-bathroom-bring-it-back-up was with hot and sour soup in a chinese resturaunt. Always a big favorite before surgery, it was the one saving food I could actually taste during the taste bud dampening period of chemo therapy. I was sad to see it move into the enemy camp. :D
