  12. I'm curious as to why your sister said that too. I'm really interested In knowing. Also I only have a BMI of 38.8 but they're still doing RNY on me. In fact my doctor was emphatic about saying I should have RNY over the sleeve because of my diabetes.
  13. That is awesome! Thank you for posting about your diabetes remission/cure. It is very encouraging to me to hear that. My main reason for getting the R.N. Y. is to cure my diabetes. I haven't had my surgery yet but it's getting close. Next month is my sixth month in the program. I was hoping to have my surgery in July but I just found out my preferred surgeon is taking three weeks off in June for vacation so my gut feeling is I won't have my surgery till August. So close yet so far away. I am so looking forward to being where you are. good luck in your weight loss.
  14. I was going with the vertical sleeve until my doctor told me emphatically I'd be much better off with the R.N. Y. because of getting rid of my diabetes; which is my main reason for having surgery in the first place. That's how I made my decision. I know it's not much help. Whichever way you decide to go I wish you luck.
  15. Put your life in God's hands and all will be according to His plan..Be at peace.
  16. Hi I use a computer. What exactly do you want to know?
  17. hi Laurel, I haven't had my surgery yet and I don't text because I don't have mobile phone but if you're on Facebook I could be your chat buddy or chat to you through e-mail. I'm home all the time also because of a physical disability.Let me know and we can swap info. I'm still in my six month preop journey. I'm looking at a July date for my surgery. please try to not be discouraged...
  18. Hi Erin, Welcome to the board. I won't have my surgery until July, so I'm still in my six months preop program. I envy you having your surgery already. Hope everything is going well.
  19. in the upper right corner of your screen Click on profile (which is the non-picture photo that is there by default-- hope you understand what I'm talking about) after clicking on profile click the settings Link and that should take you to your general account settings which should show where you can upload a photo.
  20. did you happen to combine the Unjury chicken soup with the Campbell's cheddar cheese soup? I don't know why but that sounds like it would be good together.
