    Jan 15th....here I go

After about four days I felt better and was driving as soon as I was off the pain meds about five days out. Best wishes.
  2. I didn't have one either.

    Low BMI with excess skin.

I had a bmi of about 37/38 almost a year ago and i have lost 90 pounds and am about a 23 bmi now. I'm 40 and while there is some loose skin it's not horrific. I'm still debating if I'll pursue plastics or not. Good luck.
  4. How far out were you when you were able to tolerate lettuce or salad? I'm seven weeks too early? Thanks!

    Bm Question

It may be several days and that may not change. It's not uncommon.
  8. Mine started to really fall out a lot at 3/4 months and it didn't slow down until 8 months. It was awful and scary, but it will grow back and you won't go bald. Hang in there.
  9. Interesting question. I'm almost nine months out, down 75 and ten pounds to goal. I will preface this with the fact I don't consider myself really a food addict pre surgery. I have a horrible metabolism. My relationship with food is still however very different. I love cooking more now than before. I love planning and cooking. I don't eat much, but can pretty much eat anything. I am choosy because I have so little room. I naturally crave much healthier food and fried food even the thought if it makes me sick. I feel very normal and already hardly remember all the liquid and purées anymore. I just feel normal. It's much easier than I expected. Good luck.
  10. I know I felt the exact same way. Now eight months later and 14 pounds from goal it all is a distant memory and the new freedoms this surgery brought about are amazing. You'll do great and you can do this. It's the best thing I've ever done for myself, ever. Hang in there.
  11. Feel better. What were your symptoms for the gallbladder? I'm having a hida scan this week and might have mine out soon. I'm about 8 months out.

    Sleeved 9/4 Im In Pain

It will get better it seemed like day three was the worst. Best wishes on your journey!
  13. At seven months I've done it twice, both timed early on. I can't remember the last time. I learned to eat very slowly and that not drinking when you eat is a rule for a reason.

    Gallbladder Difficulties

I'm seven months out and had my first attack this past weekend. I would have the scan. I was not on any preventive meds. Hope it works out for you.
  17. I'm seven months out and it seems like more of a regular full, but I've learned to eat slowly and very small bites. I hate that over full feeling and I eat so slowly now that it just doesn't happen much at all anymore. But if I over eat it still hurts and is uncomfortable like shortly after surgery. Best wishes.

    Sleeved 9/3

Congrats. I gained 12 pounds with surgery. It took over a week to get it off and by two weeks the swelling was better. Best wishes. It will start coming off again. For me it was all the Iv fluids.
  19. I was 38 bmi on day of surgery. I'm about seven months out and 26.6 bmi this morning. Good luck!

    Vision Problems

I had both of my eyes improve a full diopter each within a month. None of the doctors had ever seen such a reversal. They still trying to figure things out.
  21. My Dr is at Rex in Raleigh near Wake and they have a nice wellness center there I saw when I went to talk to the nutritionist. I think you can join reasonably. They also have support groups there once a month for bariatric patients.
  22. Hi and Welcome! I'm still in Cary. I'm doing great I have about twenty more pounds to goal and have lost over sixty now. I never did find a local support group though I do think there are some around here. I have found the support of the board here and my family has been good. Feel free to message me if you want any advice on the area, drs hair dressers or whatever. I love it here! Where did you move from?
  23. I'm doing well. I've lost about 70 and am about 6 months out. I still have about 18 to go to get to my surgeon's goal. Raising calories never works for me. I just keep upping the work outs. You'll get the rest off. Good luck on your journey.
  24. I have one small incision that seems infected now. I'm wondering if I should just put Neosporin on it or if I need to contact the dr. It seems late to have this issue. It's one small hole that is the issue. Thoughts?
