    Best Arms Workout!

I agree with Lissa. Search for arm workouts on YouTube. Tons of material on there for you to choose from. I would suggest a light push ups workout right after waking up in the morning and just before bed. Good luck!

    Any Regrets?

No regrets at all! Go for it !
  7. Something really really funny and cool happened to me this morning! Me and my brother were at a cafe talking and catching up on stuff and a few minutes later his friend (whom i know well but haven't seen for about a year) comes over and sits down. There were no introductions just "hi" and "hello" as my brother and i did not have a slightest doubt he would not recognise me!! So when i realised what had happened i chuckled and decided to see how long it would take for him to actually know who i was! Guess what? We talked for about an HOUR and he had no idea!! He thought i was a friend and not even related to my brother!! When we decided to leave my brother dropped the bomb and he was like.. " NO WAY! NO "*beep* WAY!!" I've never laughed so much and so hard! His reaction was so intense he just stood there staring at me for a minute. We ended up sitting for another hour discussing my surgery LOL. Just wanted to share this with you guys and hopefully lighten the mood of sleevers who feel a bit down for one reason or another Have a nice day all of you
  8. I'm happy it did Hope you get an NSV soon and share it !
  9. Like amberj my family is my life. Playing with my kids without becoming exhausted and/or experiencing back pain is a blessing.
  10. Thank you all Yeah it was the perfect moment and i truly hope that all sleevers experience NSVs it in their own cool, funny way and share it!
  11. When i picked up my 5 year old and he said "Your back doesn't hurt you anymore!" He is refering to the times i used to pick him and i'd have to put him back down cuz of the pain i feel in my lower back. This might not be a compliment but it sticks to my mind like nothing else and this was one of the main reasons for having VSG. My wife and children are my life.
  12. I'm 3 months out and after i eat a meal my stomach brings up something kind of foamy that i have to spit out and this happens usually when i feel i have over eaten a bit. Has this ever happened to anyone? If so, please explain what it is, how to get rid of it and if i have ride it out how long will that take?

    I Find The Operation Stupid

First of all i'd like to kindly ask everyone to calm down and lets discuss this issue seriously as many people can learn from it. If Hamanyq8 is a registered member then he has the right to post whatever he feels he needs to talk about whether we agree with him or not. I'm not defending him, i am like all of you who are genuinely trying to help him and others who might be facing the same issue. I think whats happening to Hamanyq8 has a lot to do with his psych. Being afraid to swallow is not uncommon among sleevers. Most of us know for a fact that VSG is a positive life changing procedure. However, some patients are faced or become aware with the down sides of the operation before actually experiencing the positive. Hamany has a new stomach and he has to understand this and accept it mentally first in order for his body to accept it too. The way i see it is that his brain is still in pre-op state while his stomach is post-op and for him to actually start his VSG journey correctly he needs to sync both organs to post op. Once this is achieved it will all be smooth sailing from there. I know a couple of friends who have undergone VSG and faced psychological difficulties have seeked professional help/ therapy and are now enjoying their new lives. My advice however is to first stick to a diet plan approved by your NUT and if the problem persists try therapy.
  15. Im stalling 3 months out. My weight has not changed for about two weeks and i know for a fact (my doc told me) that i still have to lose at least 11 more pounds.

    Super Saturday Weigh In

Its Sunday but i weighed in at 177 pounds. Wish you all the best
  17. Thats great Mina Pleasure to meet you. Believe me its not about me doing better than you or better than anyone else its just that each body deals with weight loss differently. What i strongly suggest you do is suprise your stomach/body every now and then by changing the type of food you eat (healthy food) and also change your workout routine regularly. What i am trying to say is "trick" and "shock" your body and you should get good, healthy results. What really works for me is a protien shake in the morning on my way to work and another shake before bed. Hope this helps.
  18. Thanks for the reply Kim. I have realised though that i lose weight faster if i keep switching food types. Will this work for the stall?

    Post-Op Weight

I lost 18 pounds in my first 10 days post op. Trust me don't weigh yourself day in day out u'll be dissapointed. Make it a weekly habit and you'll be all smiles :smile1:
  22. I lost 37 pounds in my first month. Stalls are normal just switch the type of foods you eat, excercise and you will break the stall. The rule is that if you keep tricking your body you will keep losing the weight.
  23. Spit in the bathroom. Never had it but it should go away.
  24. Very, very normal. I'm about 2 and half months out and i used to have the same issue during my first week out of surgery. Just stick to your diet plan and ride it out and you will feel better i guarantee it. Its a new, weird feeling during the first 2 weeks your body is in shock and is trying to adjust to the new, or modified stomach. Good luck.
  25. Salmon, prawn and fish in general a great source for protien.
