  1. Good luck guys! Remember this is our time and live in the moment. Enjoy your new life.
  2. M blood pressure after surgery always seemed high to me. 140/84. But both of my docs don't seem too concerned.
  3. I had no problems swallowing the capsules. It worked too. I weaned myself off at the 9 month mark.
  4. Nice before and after pics. You have it right!
  5. Sounds like you have a great start on a new life! Remember, this is "OUR" time, and no one can take it from us. We are getting the tools to make us healthy for life.
  6. I was depressed for years with my weight and other issues. Immediately after surgery (first day) I went thru some serious buyers remorse. Then it started getting better and better. I started exercising more rigorously and decided to wean off my two meds. One I did by myself and the other I contacted my family Doc about. That was months ago. I'm 9 months post-op and couldn't feel better. Best thing to happen to me besides getting married!
  7. Awesome job! It's amazing what we can accomplish when we have the tools.
  8. After I complained my surgeon prescribed Prilosec for my heartburn. I see him in a month. 9month visit. I will ask about tapering off after reading the comments.
  9. You can better believe I'm happier because I can do things again. I used to swim because I was afraid of the gym and the "looks". However three years ago I joined planet fitness and never looked back. I run into people there that have tracked my progress and my success. I now am on first name basis with all that work at my time slot. Energy level is over the top. I'm 60 years young and pushing my bride to do things together. My life is exceeding my expectations. Hang in there sister, you will see, life will open up.
  10. Your story is a testament to your fortitude. Never forget that. I wish I would have had that option when I was 29 years old. Now I'm 60 and am looking forward to my retirement years in the best of health I can manage.
  11. Congratulations! You have done so well! Keep up the good attitude.
  12. I, too, have some intrest here. I'm not a fanatic about organic. I consider myself a bit large for yoga. I have started meditation. Interested in clean eating. Please feel free to comment. I'm about 7.5 months post sleeve.
  13. You can do this. You had the courage to get your sleeve in the beginning. Picking up where you are will require only what you have done before. We All need to find our inner peace and enjoy the moment, not getting bogged down with other's issues. Peace.

  15. I'm seven months out and it gets better. I can now drink water which early on I had to force. I still like puréed meat with veggies and stock. Enjoy the honeymoon weightloss while you can.
  16. Looking great and working it!
  17. I went to the psychologist twice before I was approved for surgery. Frustrating I thought at the time. As far as the support group, I got so much out of it I go 2-4 times a month then and still.

  19. I have not tried this. What is the reasoning behind their advice?
  20. I started Prilosec OTC then switched to prescription as it costs less. If I miss a dose I know it by the àfternoon.
  21. I am 60 years old and only wished I had the support and the desire to do this years ago. I met with my surgeon for my six month visit yesterday and he is amazed at how I have progressed. My bride and most of my family did support me. My mom keeps saying you have lost enough weight now. My brother is jealous. He is 11 years younger and I wish he would push forward. Without my decision I would probably NOT have discovered my abdominal aortic aneurysm. 12.5 centimeters. Largest one that my surgeon had ever seen on a live patient. However your decision is all about you. Not me. Not your family. Good luck!
  22. It has to be easier for guys. I had mine done Sept 12th 2013. Lost 105 pounds. Much slower now.
  23. We had our sleeve surgeries within a week of each other. My bride said you were stunning.
