Regret
Everybody here has great advice. When I was just out no one told me about the heartburn. I took Prilosec and it went away. Then my surgeon prescribed it for me. I felt like crap the first week but had to go right back to work as I own my own business. I think that helped as it gave me focus. Best of luck. I'm 19 months out now.

I was sent for a stress test prior to surgery. The cardiologist found an issue and I had to have a heart catherization. Shrt story they found a abdominal aortic aneurism. I had to have immediate surgery that saved my life. A year later I had my sleeve and have very successful.

Post-op discomfort stories needed
I had a good mentor. He was older than I and owns several auto dealerships. The day he checked out of the hospital one of them was being flooded by excess rain. He went right to work that afternoon and I never forgot it.

Post-op discomfort stories needed
Everyone of us is different. I thought it was an easy path compared to my total knee replacement. I had surgery on Tuesday the tenth of Sept, 2013. Got out of the hospital Thursday and went back to my job as a construction manager Friday for 5 hours then full time on Monday. I didn't use pain meds,

Friends, I need some help. I've been asked to speak at a WLS reunion tomorrow evening. I have no problem speaking about my journey, I could use a good WLS joke to kick start it. Any ideas?

Psych evals
My psych eval was denied the first time and I had many conflicting thoughts. He thought I needed to work on my snacking before he would approve. The second visit about 5 weeks later went much smoother and he had no problem signing off.

PREOP DIET
Use it as a learning tool and get back on track. Things will fall into place if you concentrate and keep your eye on the prize.

Would you do it again if you knew....?
Best decision I ever made after getting married. My life is on track. My healthcare costs have gone way down. My outlook is great. And it saved my life as the cardiologist found an Abdominal Aortic Aneurism that was non symptomatic. 12.5 cm. largest one the surgeon had ever seen on a "live" patient.

Do you lie?
I tell people the truth for the most part.. I'm 60 years old and if there is someone that will say something ridiculous to me concerning my health, I know it already and don't need to deal with them.
