  1. Hi, Fellow Texans,

I am new to this site. I am getting sleeved next week on the 17th by Dr. David Kim. I have been on my 2 week pre-op diet and doing really well. I am an ex-bandster. I had the band surgery in 2002 and removed in 2006 when it slipped. I have regained all my weight back that I had lost and was very successful. I know that WLS works and it is a great tool to be healthy.

How did you like Dr. Kim? He is supposed to do my mother's surgery on the 17th and mine on the 28th of December. How did your surgery go and how is your post op going?

  2. My surgery will be at Forest Park Hospital located at 75 and 635. Dr. Barker is my dr. Who is yours?

Since I'll be a week ahead of you, I'll be able to tell you what to expect and we can compare notes. I have no choice but to get well fast - we are going on a cruise August 13th. I am so ready for this surgery! I don't even care if I can't eat any of the fancy dishes they will be preparing on the ship. It just sounds like more calories - and I'm done with lots of calories!! I started my liquid diet in preparation of surgery yesterday. I had a little bit of a Headache today - I am sure my body is just adjusting - so all is well.

I will be having my surgery at Forest Park with Dr. David Kim. How did you like Forest Park?

  3. Hey girls!

I'm so glad to have found this thread. This is one of my biggest concerns with getting the sleeve done. How are ya'll progressing with your weight loss and your surgeries? Any problems/regrets? Any experiences with excess skin? I'm just trying to get responses from girls in their early 20s getting this done because I think we have a whole different set of concerns than a lot of the older people who have this done.

    Jenny
