I am hoping that some of you that are completely healed can describe the hunger or non-hunger feelings you have now? Like if you eat a few too many bites of food does it feel like over eating on thanksgiving? If you don't eat do you feel dizzy? Do you forget to eat? Thanks!

My Dr. Office called today to reschedule my surgery... pushed back a week to 2/20. After the past year of jumping through hoops, it is less then a month away, so I should still be happy...right? (<---that is my fake smile.)

Great question! Lol! I start on Feb 1st. But have been trying to replace one meal a day with a shake for the last few days... I am thinking a lot of meditation and praying What is your surgery date?

4 months seems far too long. Have you already gone through the insurance requirements/approval? Perhaps you should look into an alternate surgeon? My surgeons office has been great, and basically 'held my hand' through the entire process. The day I got my insurance approval they scheduled my surgery date. I hope you get some news soon!

WoooooHoooooo! My paper work was submitted and I got my approval in less than 48 hours! (Plus the months and months of pre-op stuff, of corse!) I am so excited My surgeon will be my 'Valentine' this year

When I met with my surgeon the first time he told me almost the same thing; this is surgery to fight a disease. And YES, obiesity IS a disease. I am doing what I feel is necessary to keep me healthy, and I can't wait!! thanks for posting this!

I am looking forward to walking into any store in the mall and finding my size on the rack, no more shopping at one big girl store... I want to be able to wipe my butt well without breaking a sweat and feeling like a contourtionist... I can't wait to share jeans with my daughter... I hope I can give my CPAP machine away soon... and getting my MILF status back

My surgeons office had a list of suggested psych drs for the pre-op evaluation... so I called, they said they took my insurance, made an apt, paid my $25 copay, done. I thought. Today I got a bill for $250 from the psych dr, stating he is not a plan physician. I would think the dr office would let me know that before the apt, but nope. I should know better since I work in insurance, but for some silly reason I didn't even think about checking.... darn. Also in the mail today is some kind of insurance approval letter, but the language on it is so confusing, I am not 100% sure. LOL! Of corse Aetna Member Services and surgeons office is closed until Monday... so I wait. (Time is moving so slowly!!) Hahahah!

Congrats you two! You will both know what the other is going through. What great support!! I can't wait to see the dual before and after pics! Best of luck!
