  1. It sounds like you are getting plenty of fluids but also probably sweating out alot too. I would def talk to your doctor about this. He/She will be the best ppl to give you advice. Or even your Nutritionist. Dehydration is serious, and it's like once you get dehydrated,it's hard to get rehydrated, especially with our now small tummies. But kudos to you for going 8.5 miles on a bike. I can't even remember the last time I was on a bike, maybe I need to invest in one...lol
  2. It is very hard at first. I am almost 5 weeks out and am still struggling but I am getting there as far as getting the liquids and proteins in. I am a big fan of unjury protein supplements,I use them everyday! They have a chicken broth one, that you can either make chicken broth out of,you can even use it to flavor mashed potatoes or put it in soup or something. I make it into chicken soup and then mix some cream of chicken in it. It's so good. They also have an unflavored protein. It is beyond awesome and helps me get my required protein in alot. This morning for breakfast I mixed one chocolate and one unflavored together with 9 ozs of ff milk,it was awesome and turned out to be 50 grams of protein! Then I basically concentrated on liquids for the rest of the day and took a few bites of scrambled eggs, then a little later 2 bites of cottage cheese with peaches, then for dinner I had some really tender ribs(2 oz) and steamed cabbage. You can mix the unflavored protein in almost anything! It's great in soups,or in crystal light and water, that way you're getting your fluid in too. =) Sorry,I am always rambling about unjury lol,I'm just happy bc it is the only brand of protein I have tried that isn't nasty thick.and I can keep it down, hope this helps.
  3. From personal experience I would say it just all around isn't a good idea..lol. Your stomach is very small, you want to take your time, relax and sip on your fluids. When it comes time to eat,you want to take your time, chew your food and slowly eat, while listening to the signs from your body. Eating and drinking at the same time will cause you to get really full, really fast. It may make you nauseous,it may even make you vomit. And like someone else said,it also has a tendency to turn food into a slurry, which will go down easier, allowing you to eat more. In my opinion,if this is made a habit, down the road,we may end up having a permanent stall or even regain.

    What To Eat?

I buy them at one of the many local grocery stores I shop at called Cost Less. They are made by Foster Farms so I believe they are sold alot of places. Here's a link. http://www.fosterfarms.com/products/product.asp?productcode=14040 They have different flavors, even pastrami. One 2 oz serving has like 60 calories. 1/2 gram of fat and 13 grams of Protein. Very moist. Wayyy easier than buying a huge turkey and then worrying about cooking it exactly right..lol I fell in love with eggfaces page last night! Cannot wait to experiment this week! My freezer/fridge will probably be packed with leftovers! Hehe
  8. =) Love my fellow twin mommies. =) My girls are just to the point where they are getting into EVERYTHING,add my 2 1/2 yr old daughter in the mix along with my 4 yr old son,and you have a crazy house! LOL But I wouldn't have it any other way,the only down point was my weight, and now that is just melting away so I think all is great in this crazy house! Oh and the skin...ughhhhh before I even knew I was carrying twins(found out at 12 weeks) I could feel my lower stomach being stretched. My tummy is awful,no cocoa butter, walking, vitamin e,lots of Water did anything. =(
  9. Well let me tell you,you cannot tell at all so you must be doin somethin right! =) I have twins also! 13 month twin girls! They are my world(along with their older brother and sister) but they did a number on my tummy too. I carried the twins full term and they were 7 lbs each! Not to mention my older two kiddos are only 4 yrs old and 2 yrs old so I have been basically havin babies for the past 5 yrs! My stomach already looks horrible so I know there is no hope there besides a tummy tuck which will be in my near future after getting to goal. But I hope to salvage my arms, legs and butt...lol. I think a boob job may be in my future too but I'll have to get closer to goal to be for sure. But anyway, you look awesome, hope I look half as good at goal!

    What To Eat?

Yes def stick with the moist when it comes to trying out meats. Just introduce things slowly. I'm almost 5 weeks out and I am still mainly on protein shakes and water, when I do eat food,it's cottage cheese and peaches with a lil unflavored protein, greek yogurt,sf pudding or jello, very slow cooked, tender meats in the crockpot or if I need it quicker i use my nuwave oven. I also buy these already cooked, and packaged turkey meats-they are sooo tender and juicy,my sleeve loves it! I also steam and then mash up cauliflower, put a lil "I can't believe it's not butter" in it and it becomes mashed potatoe substitute. =) Check out this link: http://theworldaccor...e.blogspot.com/ it's her blog page and she has like a million and one yummyyyyyy recipes from protein shake recipes,to pizza,to these lil bite size meal thingies that look amazing!!!! They are all sleeve friendly once you can eat anything. I obsessed over this site for hours last night and got alot of cool recipes that I will def be using. Most are low carb-high protein!

    Had Sleeve On 2/20/12

Hi,congrats on your new sleeve!!!! I had mine done a month ago. As alot more ppl are probably going to tell you,the weight will come off,it's just the fluids they pumped you full of. You will most likely see a significant drop within the week. I didn't drop at all the first like 4 days, then I dropped like 14 lbs within a week, hit a stall, then lost 6 more lbs. It is very hard to keep from going crazy and weighing yourself too much lol. I have had to give my scale to my mom and she brings it on Mondays for me to weigh. If I were you I would put the scale away for at least a few days, even a week if you can stand it,then when u weigh yourself, you will most likely be pleasantly surprised. =) ((HUGS)) to you and hang in there!
  19. Hey! How's your healing coming along? Hope all is well!

  20. Hey! =) Stopping by to wish you the best of luck that you get an approval next week!

  21. Hey girl, getting excited for your surgery??

  22. Hey girl! Just checking on you to see how you're feeling?? ((HUGS)) to you. I've been keeping you in my prayers!

  23. Absolutely beautiful!!!! Great job, what an inspiration!
  24. Hey!! How far out are you?? I am a month out. In my honest opinion,I would say that the key is to get more liquids AND protein in. It is very frustrating for me also bc I can get alot of liquids in usually but the minute I put solids (softs) into my sleeve,I can barely stomach any liquids or protein for the rest of the day,AND my loss slowed when I went to solids(softs). So what I have resorted to is cutting back on the solids and getting in more liquids as well as depending a lil more on the protein supplements. This morning I doubled up on my protein drink. About 9 ozs of fat free milk(10 grams protein),2 scoops of unjury chocolate protein powder(40 grams protein!),which is seriously deelish! It turns out to be 280 calories,1 gram of fat,and 50 grams of protein! =) So,I got that down, worked down 20 ozs of water, got on my treadmill, now I have filled another 20 oz bottle of water with one pack of crystal light lemonade and one scoop of strawberry sorbet unjury protein(20 grams protein). When I finish this,I will have had 70 grams of protein for the day,380 calories,40 ounces of water and 9 ozs of fat free milk. I'm free to just drink on water and eat food since I have gotten most liquids in.. My dr tells me not to depend on protein supplements still at a month out but I feel like at some point if my weight loss is stalling or slowing and I'm not able to get lots of fluid and protein in like I need to bc of eating solids,I can make my own desicions about my body and at least try it and see if it helps out. So,this is what I am trying for now. It keeps me full and hydrated, and I get most my protein out of the way in the morning. Sorry for the rambling lol,I hope this may help you!
  25. Elijah got his preschool pics done today, and I heard he did sooo good! SO proud of my big boy!!! Can't wait to see his pics!
