My cousin had protein shakes and ended up GAINING - it has a lot of sugar and such in it! My previous surgeon said no more than 2 protein shakes during the pre-op stage. Good luck - let me know what the surgeons office had to say!

MistyDTX - I have found that he was very nice. He did two other people that I know and they both love him. He also did my sister in laws gallbladder and sat down to talk to her and I before the surgery and then when it was all done as well. He was very helpful!!! Good Luck - I had my pre-op testing done today and have my pre-op consult with him on Thursday! Keep us informed with what is going on, we will have to compare notes! Good luck!

Could it be close to the time of the month? Have you been eating some low/no carb meals? I am not sure what advice I could tell you, I hope it all comes out ok! I will be praying for you!

MistyD - I just saw that you are a DR Carter patient too! Do you like him? I will be banded on 9/19 - so just a few days before you. I would have had it sooner, but he went on vacation! I was approved last month!

WOW 19 lbs is GREAT! I started liquids today and I have the WORST headache ever! I am going to call it a night and go to bed just as soon as I can! I could only dream of losing 19 lbs!!!! I will change your date, at least you still will have it. Maybe the 13 would have been a bad day for the dr and something might have gone wrong. EVERYTHING happens for a reason!!!

Oh Beach girl! There are so many emotions happening! Are you still excited? Are you scared? Are you nervous?

Well, I don't really have to do the pre-op diet. But I am kinda trying to do it. I started this morning (9 days from surgery). I am eatting dinner tonight though. Then Wednesday morning I have a MOPS meeting and they serve Breakfast, so that they won't ask questions I will eat a small breakfast. Then Friday night, hubby and I have a date night and we are going to dinner and a movie. So, three times I plan on eatting when I shouldn't. I figured the pre-op diet would get my weight loss started and drop a few pounds before surgery! I am glad to hear that you are doing so much better! It won't be long and you will be back to yourself again!

Docsdeb - I love your scale thingy - where did you find it? Congrats for joining our September bandsters! Good luck with your band!
