Kimmie - I am glad to hear that you are doing better and you could paint your toe nails - I can't wait to see mine! I will go tomorrow or Tuesday and have them done and my surgery in scheduled for Wednesday! Only a few days away now!!! Woohoo! I am down and out with my back right now, so surgery is one of the last things on my mind. I just hope to be able to walk after my surgery, since that is key to healing.

Welcome to our group Libby and Rachel1972!!! I will add you to the list of September bandsters! Artzygirl, just hang in there, you still will get your band. Just on another date. How much more weight did you need to lose before your dr will do the surgery? I hope that you will get there quickly and safely!

Docsdeb, I try not to read the boards when I am having doubting moments. You have to do what is best for you, maybe you should prolong your band and talk it over more with your doctor. Just remember that EVERYONE will have a different kind of experience and you will too. You might just love your band! Theninside - I have not been banded yet, but my doctor suggested to put an ice pack on the port incision for as long as I feel pain and discomfort there. Hopefully that will help!

Docsdeb - you have brought tears to my eyes! That was wonderful! You go girl, those three lbs were what you needed! You CAN do this! You WILL do this. Think positive and you will lose all that weight you don't want the scale-a-tor to tell you that you have. You can beat that scale and love every time you step on it! I plan to love my scale! Hard to think about it now, but in the long run, we might become friends! LOL Good luck on your journey!!!

I bet that shower felt great didn't it Tulipstar? My bed is pretty high, so I was thinking about how I was going to get in it too. I thought maybe I could just roll in! Maybe not huh? Recliner wouldn't be so bad, easier to get in and out of huh? I am glad to hear that you are doing great at day 5 post op! It gives me hope!

Wow - so much information here! First off, Artzygirl, I am so sad for you. I was denied by insurance the first go around and I was a mental mess! I cried and cried. I hope that you get a date soon and will be able to still get the band. Even if you are a October bandster, you are still welcome to stay with us! Even though you might want someone closer to you date, we totally understand. Just know that we haven't given up on you and hope that we can still continue the journey with you!!! *Hugs* Illdeal - welcome to our group of September bandsters! I am glad to hear that you are doing well with your surgery and diet! Woohoo, that is always good news! Puglvr4life - Do you do a hard labor kinda job? Wow, going back that quick! I hope you are a quick healer! Some people can go back that early and some can't. Please just take it slow and easy! NMSunshine - your belly will be gone before you know it! Did you take before surgery pics? I have already started a scrapbook with it ready for the first five months. I plan on taking pictures every month and my measurements to add to it! I am so excited!

Katmeg, have you talked to your dr office if you happen to gain weight? Some drs won't do the surgery. Just please be extra cautious! I hope that it gets easier for you. But, I totally know how you feel. Good luck with your diet!!!

Kellymovingon - I am glad that you have a September date and ready to hear all you have to post! Talk to us girl!!!! Darr5380 - I tried to do the liquid diet pre-op but haven't been able to. But, my dr doesn't require it either. So, I have choosen, just to behave and not do any bingeing!

EL1 - Could you order the side of pintos and cheese. That is all the inside of the bean burrito without the tortilla. Would that help ya?

Chilipepper, I am sorry that you had to move your date to the 19th, but am glad because that is my date too! I am excited for you and hope that we can stay in touch and "compare" notes! Good luck over the weekend, how did your Olive Garden go? I didn't have to do a pre0op diet and hubby and I are going to Red Lobster to eat those yummy bisquits for the last time!!!

Wow Ghostbuster, I didn't find this thread until just now! I hope that you are feeling better. Sorry to hear that you were so sick in the begining! How are you feeling now? Is it any better?

Well, I had my last consult and my lab work was all in and it is so official I am doing a huge happy dance! My surgery will be on Wednesday! I am not sure of the time yet, but it is coming and all the labs were good. I feel like I passed a very huge test! LOL And they have my money too. I know you all can relate to the feelings I have! I hope to hear more from you all over the weekend!!! Woohoo!

Oh I wish you the best of luck - I know you can do it! Push those fluids - water especially! It will help ya! I know you will have to go potty all the time, but the water will help take the water weight off! Doesn't that sound crazy? Good luck - I have my last consult today - had lab work done on Tuesday - I am praying that he isn't going to say that it came back bad and I can't have it or worse yet that I am pregnant - I better not be, but you never know right?
