If I ever get another dog, I may get a Cairn. I think it will be like my westie, but I won't have to cut the hair. I don't want to have to do that.

Janet- My parents almost called 911 once for the car, then they realized it was at my sister's house across the street.

Sad here. When I got home from work last Mon., Mischief threw up black. DH took him to the vet. They thought it was an ulcer. It got worse. We took him to a surgeon Wed. He said it was a tumor attached to the stomach, and prognosis good for surgery. He had surgery Thurs. Sat. morning they said it was leaking, and he now had an infection. They would have to go back in, and if they did pronosis was extremely poor. We had to put him to sleep. He was my baby for 14yrs. This house is not the same.

Phyl- OMG you had a bad day. Hope you son is OK. DD had heat exhaustion 2wks ago. It was very scary!

We are under a RIF in my school district. Reduction in force. Several of my friends just got word that they lost their jobs. They lost their positions, and do not know yet if they will get another one. We will also have 4 schools assigned to have in school suspension at my school. If I still have the same job next year, this will take place in the room across the hall from me. So rival neighborhood gang thug hoodlums will be placed in a room across the hall from me when they are suspended. Oh Joy, it's gonna be great! :confused:

And also don't forget, LA is being destroyed. We will not recover from this.

Sorry I haven't been around in awhile. Last wk of school this week. Fri. we will have a crawfish boil at my house. I work another week, and then I will head a summer camp if we get enough kids to sign up.

We spent the day today planting outside. I got two Queen palms to replace the foxtail palms I lost in the freeze. I don't love Queen palms, but they survive a freeze. I want Majools, but I can't afford that.

I saw Earthboxes one night on HSN. They are expensive. While researching them, I found sites that make them. So me and DH made two last weekend. I planted tomatoes and bell peppers in them, and I planted eggplant and cucumbers in a small garden. Did ya'll try cucumbers dipped in hummus? Yum

DD dips bell peppers in hummus, but bell peppers are expensive!

Janet-sorry about your friend's SIL. Same age as my friend that just died.

Phyl- you are a SAINT! Me and hubby have separate checking accounts. What about all the money you don't spend on food anymore?

DH tells me Friday night at 9 that his calf hurts, swollen, and he has mild edema/sp? His physical therapist said be careful that may be signs of a blood clot, go to the ER if it gets worse. WTH???? Tell me at 9pm on a Fri. Had he told me earlier, I would have insisted he go to the doc, who by the way is across the hall from the physical therapist. So now I'm worried. And wondering how could you possibly get a blood clot when you don't stop moving. He is doing his exercising everyday plus I think too much other stuff, like cutting the grass already.

I go back to work tomorrow. I was off for a week. I don't wanna go!!!!! The students have 3 1/2wks left. It's gonna be hell for me, cause the teachers will be kicking kids out left and right.

My friend's funeral was Th. It was very sad. Her daughter is a Jr. She saw her Sat. night laying on her comp. and said Mom if your that tired go to bed. The next morning she found her the same way. They said her valve shut and didn't reopen. She had mitral valve prolaspe.

Hi Everyone, I'm off this week for our first ever Spring Break. They only gave us Fri. for Easter.

This will not be a happy week. One of my friends from high school died Sun. She worked at the school fair Sat. night. She was supposed to work Sun. morning and didn't show. Her daughter, a junior, went home to check on her and found her slumped over her comp. The wake is tom. night, and funeral Thurs. We haven't heard yet what the cause was. We are in total shock.

DH is doing fine. He cut the grass today. He went back to work last week. Still going to threapy 3xs a week at 25 dollars each time. OMG, that's expensive.

Karla-Congrats on the new house. Sorry about the DD problems. Mine had been a BITCH lately. She criticizes my every move. It is so bad that I may come to the point of telling her she can't live here anymore.

Janet-what self tanner are you using?

Last week was state testing, and they made me test a class because a new teacher can't control her kids. This was my schedule all week. 7 to 7:30/duty

7:30 to 11:15 test/ 11:15 to 12:00 lunch duty/ walk them back inside left to 10 min pee and Water break/

12:15 to 12:50 2nd lunch duty. Walk them back in and then by 1:00 get to eat and actually do my own job. It was the week from hell!!!!!!

Now we have one week of school and next week off for Spring Break.

Candice your Psalm 23 reminded me that a week ago a parent came in to sign a suspension with her little girl. While she was signing the girl said, "Mommie I wanna say The Lord is my Shepard." Her Mom said not now honnie, but I said I want to hear to the little girl. She then said the WHOLE thing perfectly. She was 3. We got her to say it to everyone. It was adorable, like a little angel!

Phyl-Glad you made it home safe!

Off to bed, I'm starving, I need a fill. I have NO restriction.

I just cut mine down. I have a few blooms on Barbara Streisand, a lavender with a wonderful rose smell.

DH is doing fine. He is taking off one more week of work. He starts rehab this week.

DS's BD was today. He asked to sleep out. Of course the answer was no. So now he's P.O.ed, and I have to worry about him sneaking out tonight.

I do have a cam for the computer. I have to find it and set it up.

DH did great with his surgery Wed. We put a twin bed from the downstairs bedroom in the living room. So he lives in the living room currently. He has cabin fever. He is not a person who can sit still, or stay inside.

My aunt called tonight. She will be 87 on my BD. She is exactly 40 yrs older than me. My dad has 10 sisters, She's not even the oldest.

Janet-I love Kohls. We don't have one in N.O. area. We have to drive an hour to Slidell or Baton Rouge.

Hubbies surgery tom. We have to be at the hospital for 6:30 am. Crazy fools, who does surgery that early?

We'll probably be there all day.

Phyl- so sorry about your back. What about the inversion things. Look on HSN.com they have one on all the time. I bought one, at Sams I think. I keep saying I need to use it. My left upper butt cheek area has been hurting like a &*%$@ for over a week. The girls at work say it's my siatic (sp?).

I have been logging my food and exercising regularly. I have decided I need to go to an endocrynologist (sp?)

So I need: endo, gyno, dermo, that's it for now. Oh, I need to get my taxes done. And I have decided to get DS in threapy. He needs help.

Yesterday I was nausious all day so cals were under 400 with dry heaving.

Today I still have no desire to eat, so cals are low.

If anyone uses Thedailyplate it has changed, and it sucks!

You know what I hate about my job most? Parents today believe their children over adults. Imagine having to defend what a unmedicated, dr certified manic child says you said. And this crap happens all the time.

Karla- I hope everything works out with the sale. And I think your daughter should be ashamed of herself for being so thoughtless.

However, who the hell am I to point that out? I have my own thoughtless little brat here. He has a warped sense of priorities. I am going to look into getting him some therapy this week. Cost, what they offer and such. I have decided that he is going to have to get his own car insurance under his own name. He's a liability, and I'm not risking everything I own for him. It will cost him about 300 a mt. And that's his problem. My current problem is finding the 6 thousand I need for the thoughtless brat's tuition.

I recommend always having your house prepared. Keep enamas and suppositores on hand at all times for emergencies. If you eat the proper amount of protien daily, you're always gonna have proplems. Try getting in metamucil everyday. If you skip it Oh oh!
