  1. I have had two stalls already at a little over 1 month out, my stalls seem to last me about 3-6 days and then the weight just starts coming off again.
  2. I made a mistake of trying 1 of my husbands french fries. Threw it up before it even had a chance to make it to my tummy. Never thought 1 fry would do that, but when your stomach isnt ready it isnt ready.
  3. Surgery was over a month ago. No dietary restrictions now.
  4. Hey guys, been having tons of sleeve problems, but just trying to figure out if I am making myself sick by eating too much... How much were you guys eating at the stage I am in? What exactly does it feel like when you overeat? Has anyone had a very quick pain (maybe 5 seconds) as if something is stuck even when you have chewed very thoroughly?
  5. Protein is what helps you prevent your weight loss from being muscle loss rather than fat. Also if you do not consume enough protein, you will be very tired and lethargic.
  6. I actually had an overproduction of saliva for about days 3-6. Had to spit my saliva out because there was just so much extra.... Give it a couple days and it should go away for you. Other advice, one of my sleeve friends wasnt experiencing acid reflux so they stopped taking nexium after a couple weeks. Let me tell you they were hurting bad when the reflux came a week later. Take your nexium it does alot!
  7. Hey everyone, still not feeling well at all. I went to the hospital Friday night and they took blood, they said they didnt see anything from the blood or urine except that my lipides were still raised from my pancreatis (developed post surgery) but they did clarify that they had gone down since 2.5 weeks ago. The hospital I went to does not do ultrasounds on weekends, so I have to go get an ultrasound tomorrow. I was constipated but that just cleared up for me a couple hours ago. Didnt help with feeling week or my sore stomach though. I have started to drink Powerade its high in carbs but I cant find the zero carb version and I need to keep hydrated. When I was in the hospital they had to end up taking blood from my feet because I was so dehydrated. I honestly dont feel as if the hospital is taking it as seriously as they should. I was experiencing chest pains and everything but they told me to just follow up with the clinic a few days after the ultrasound. I am going to go to my husbands gp tomorrow, he takes the time to listen and maybe he will help me more. Thanks for the concern everyone, I will keep you updated.
  8. I am having trouble staying hydrated and am definately not tolerating any protein. The past few days I am struggling to keep food down. I have thrown up atleast once a day. I am at the point that I dont even want to think of eating food. I am getting weak, can hardly walk up stairs but I know its from lack of protein. Also getting shaky. I dont have a thermometer but my husband says I feel like I have a fever. The pain in my stomach isnt really severe but it is annoying and uncomfortable. I am at my wits end. I dont know what to do
  9. A little TMI but here we go. Day 7-17 Post op I had my monthly. Then for a few days I had no bleeding or anything. Anyways the past few days I have been noticing blood when I wipe I am a month post op now. Last night I went to qipe and there was a lot of blood, as much as I would have during my monthly. I have also been sore in my abdomen between my large incision and belly button and have been feeling unwell overall. I dont have a doctor so it would pretty much be hospital or walk in clinic. I was also out of country for the operation, so my surgeon cant really help me. Thanks for any help you guys can offer.
  10. what type of premade Protein are you getting from costco? I am not tolerating Protein drinks and would love to know what type has been working for you.
  11. I do hope you get better. I was feeling a little sick a couple days prior to surgery. Well the surgery was just enough to make my immune system useless and that little sick turned into pneumonia for me. If you have any doubts or worries, mention it to your surgeon.
  12. I think it is so normal to have leakage paranoia, but to put it into perspective. Immediately post surgery I developed pneumonia, as I have asthma my coughs were violent and sent my body lunging each cough. And trust me there were alot of coughs. If I can go through that and come out of it without a leak, I would not worry. Regarding your hunger, personally I didn't feel hunger until about 3 weeks post op, and I contacted my NUT about it. He actually suspected it wasn't actual hunger but too much stomach acid. He upped my dosage of nexium and I haven't been hungry since. Best of luck to you!
  13. Oh my, I am so sorry to hear this! I truly hope she makes a good recovery. I am so glad to hear you are there for her. Also, congrat's on the weight loss.
  14. I actually stalled early. After day 14, my weight didn't budge even .1 lb for 5 days. I greatly increased my water intake and thankfully the stall stopped. Just do your best getting in lots of fluids, and just be reassured that it is normal.
  15. 1lb lost is still a pound lost. I am starting to experience what you used to go through. I am so tempted to constantly look at the scale. My first 2 weeks post op I lost 1 lb a day or more. Then between week 2 and 3 I had a 5 day stall and only ended up losing like 2-3 lbs. Part of me feels I am losing too slowly but then I just have to remember every pount lost is a pound I don't have to worry about next week. I give you so much credit for being able to assess and realize why the scale may not have been as kind as you wanted, but after your time of the month I think you will get a nice loss.
  16. Me and my sleeve sisters all went to the Colorado Room at the Crowne Plaza. The food was amazing. I had the mexican special or something like that. It was so good, had tacos, quesadilla, steak sooo good! Prices were not bad either.
  17. Prior to surgery, I enjoyed my Protein drinks, then post op couldnt tolerate them so I decided to give my stomach a rest for a week and see if that time let it get adjusted... Well yesterday I started mushies, had half a scrambled egg for Breakfast and some oat bran for lunch, I tolerated both perfectly, no soreness or nausea. I figured hey I will give my Protein Drinks another shot now. So today I had my powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chocolate protein with lactose free skim milk. Immediately after I had a huge stomach ache, diahrea, nausea and very close to vomitting. I didn't even get through the whole Protein Drink. I am so frustated. I have no idea what to do I need the protein but my stomach will not cooperate.
  18. I have, but I didnt actually get diarhea until after I was home. I find one thing that really set off diahrea is Protein drinks, but it is honestly not that bad at all. If you get it too bad just buy yourself some baby wipes, you will appreciate it.
  19. Congrats! Glad to hear you have broken your stall. I just started my stall... A little earlier then most, mine started at about 15 days. Even the slightest budge would make me happy
  20. Personally, I have made my goal weight much higher than what any bmi test has told me. I figure that if I set it too low and never reach it I will be disappointed. With making my goal achievable I will not experience that. That doesn't mean I have to stop at my goal, but any extra weight at that point is the cherry on top. Best of luck!
  21. I apologize for the TMI but I have an irregular menstral cycle. Typically it is 38 days. 4-5 days post surgery my monthly came, but it was a good 2 weeks early. I was told it could just be from stress of surgery and I had pnuemonia but I am still bleeding 11 days later. I have never bled for more then 7 days. The blood is partially still bright red and there was alot of clotting today.... Could this just be stress? Or should I be worried that I have had some sort of complication?
  22. Hello, I was diagnosed with pnuemonia 3 days post op and the medicine I had to take for that was the worst. The only way I could explain it to family was, if robots had bowel movements, i just drank it. It got so bad after a couple days that I was vomitting. I asked my nutritionist and they told me I could take the pill cut into 4 pieces. I just put a sip of Water in my mouth, tilt my head back drop the quarter pill in and swallow immediately. Maybe you could see if you could take the pills in pieces. Made my life much easier.
  23. Hey everyone, I bought Syntrax Nectars before surgery and loved them, now I cant seem to tolerate them at all. I am going to be trying some new ones and wanted your opinions on what you all liked. I am not picky as far as chocolate, strawberry or vanilla. So dont be afraid to name your favourite.
  24. Hey everyone, I am 8 days post op, and on a clear liquid diet for 2 more days, then full liquids for 10 and then 10 on mushies.... Anyways I was just hospitalized for pneumonia and pancreatis (means I am experiencing a fair amount of abdominal pain). I got home yesterday but I am having trouble being able to intake enough liquid, and especially cant seem to tolerate my Protein drinks. I know I wont have any issues once I can start purees but will lack of protein for the first 20 days have any really negative effects on me? Thanks for any help
  25. Hey everyone, just wanted to update you all. I developed a cough after surgery. Stopped in at a hospital last night because I was having trouble catching my breath. They did an xray and sure enough I have pneumonia. 10 days of antibiotics and hopefully I will feel better. The cough wouldnt be so annoying if I didnt have the fresh wounds lol, but I think I will be alright
