I am having my surgery in just a few days (eek!) and I have a question about diarrhea. Did anyone have it post surgery? I will be traveling home on an airplane 3 days after my surgery and am so scared it will be a problem!

Well this isn't probably what you want to hear but yes, I did have diarrhea. You know what they say, liquids in, liquids out. But don't let that upset you! Not everyone gets it, so just hope on hope you don't get it.

I have, but I didnt actually get diarhea until after I was home. I find one thing that really set off diahrea is Protein drinks, but it is honestly not that bad at all. If you get it too bad just buy yourself some baby wipes, you will appreciate it.

I was the opposite I didn’t even go at all for days after,

i couldnt poop for like a week and was scared! after i finally did go, i had explosive diahrrea 3 or 4 times over a week and ever since i have been battling constipation! ugh! lol! good luck.

I went to Dr. Aceves, too. I had explosive diahrrea a couple of hours after drinking the nasty leak test stuff. I took some chewable immodium with me and ate one first thing the morning of flying home and was fine. Also be prepared to probably start your period a couple days after surgery, even if it isn't time. I think the 3 must have things to take to Mexicali are : Gas X strips, sanitary napkins and chewable immodium.
