  1. I had major issues with high blood pressure prior to surgery. Neurosurgeons worried about strokes etc.. now I am facing the opposite issue. I no longer take blood pressure medicines for months now. My blood pressure has dropped drastically, to the point where I have a hard time getting the energy to even get out of bed or do anything. The doctor is aware, and just recently did some blood work, I go in to have a bp work up (whatever that is) and an ekg. My blood pressure also drops if I get up, even if I take it slow. Sooo, I take things extra slow. It's averaging out 90/60 with a heartrate of 108 which is usually in the 60's 70's. The lowest one at the doctors office was 88/56 heartrate 104. They didn't let me go till it went up, thankfully a crying baby helped. LOL No pun.

Is anyone else having this issue? Anything I can do myself to fix this?

  2. This thread along with the other grammar police threads crack me up. Honestly, tit for tat. Is that "condesending" enough? *shrugs* I started exploring recently looking for something and ran across this board. It's nice to have a board to rant on, however the elementary school he said she said I don't much like. If I have something to say I prefer to say it to that person. My opinion, and how I handle things. I guess this would be my rant for the day. LOL

On another note....Have a good weekend (being sincere here).

  3. Reading this does remind me of a dark time I had in the hospital after the second surgery. I woke up, and literally felt like I was a machine or better put like the tin man on the wizard of oz. All I need is a little oil and I am good to go. My mind raced with crazy thoughts laying in the bed alone feeling completely empty. I basically had to shake myself and say hello sister, you did it, now work with it. I still occasionally have thoughts like that. I don't really talk about them much though. One of the main reasons I am here even if I don't post, reading always gives me a push in the right direction. Yes, I have bad days, but I also have good ones, the ones *I* try to focus on. Hang in there.

  4. Wow, sounds like you have been through the ring a few times. I had some issues myself. I actually have moved since my surgery, I am at the 5 month mark, so need to find a new local doctor asap. However, I should add, I was losing weight faster then I was supposed to. The doctor insisted I needed more calories. I can tolerate the carnation instant Breakfast Protein Shakes, they go down well now. I was also upped to 40 mg of nexxium and 1 prilosec a day. This has helped immensely with the GERD. I really hope you get to feeling better. The blood is not a good thing, I think a call in or an ER visit may be needed. I had a bleed the day after mine, and was vomiting a lot of blood. My vitals were also crazy, so they didn't hesitate to bring me back in. I also have had a few issues with dehydration. Not anymore though, I have learned has taken time. Things are easier and I am understanding my body much more. I really hope things get better for you.

  5. Looking good! I haven't been brave enough to post just yet. I just once for the first time sent the family pictures on Christmas. I was happy with there reactions, however for some reason I don't like being called skinny, because one I am not, and two I don't want to go from one extreme to the other. I am big boned, so my bones are coming out again, and are extremely noticeable (and painful at times).

  6. Also make sure you wait the 30 minutes before eating and drinking. It can cause that especially early on. Secondly if you can't keep anything down, you may be getting dehydrated and need to get rehydrated. Drink slow small sips. Keep to the fluids until you can tolerate mushies again. Maybe strained cream Soups? No Tomato, the acid not good. Potato, mushroom, brocoli, asparagus cream Soup strain well. Popcicles too as said above. Jello..and gradually add to it, slowly. I hope you get better.
