    Shoulder pain after surgery

Hopefully you are feeling much better. However considering the time the surgery takes you may have been laying in a funky way, and maybe pinched a nerve or sleepened a muscle. I hope you feel better real soon.

    New here

Hi there, yogurt is a good thing and I understand your issues with carbs, have you tired different yogurts? Good luck!
  4. Good luck, before you know it, you will be on the losers bench. Welcome!
  5. It is really your decision. I initially planned on going in for lap band, like many others seen the pros and cons, and knowing how my body rejects foreign objects I went with the sleeve. For me, I couldn't be happier.

    Now what?/

Oh gosh what a pain. I wish you the best and hope you get a new surgeon soon.
  8. Drink Water, often! I was admitted initially for dehydration. I was drinking enough, even though I knew I was getting what I was supposed to. Then we figured out it was my blood pressure medication Lisinipril. The water was absorbed differently. It doesn't happen to every one. Anyhow it turns out my kidneys were affected and there was no blood flow getting to my kidneys, my kidneys became to get really sluggish. They Bolis (two IV bags) me twice in a half an hour. After the first my output was only 30cc, and the second 17cc. They then put an emergency consult in for a nephrologist, and were considering putting me on an emergency dialysis. Thank the high heavens, after begging to walk, I was able to get things moving again. I drink more water now then I have to, and do not take the lisinipril any more. So three hospital visits in a month. Sucks! Not to mention all the fluids they gave me, made me gain some weight back. I was ticked off. The fluids are starting to flow away and am starting to lose again, but this has been outrageous. All because of a little pill. I still have to take blood pressure meds because my blood pressure is not under control still. I don't take as much as I did, which is good. I hopefully don't have to take them in the future, they just want to continue them until they think it is controlled. MY PSA for the day! LOL Drink your fluids! If something feels wrong, go to the hospital or call your surgeon. Thank you!
  9. According to a BMI I use, I did your calculations, and your BMI for your height is normal. Your BMI came to 18.71 and the website said this : BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9 (Normal Weight) People whose BMI is within 18.5 to 24.9 possess the ideal amount of body weight, associated with living longest, the lowest incidence of serious ilness, as well as being perceived as more physically attractive than people with BMI in higher or lower ranges. So to me it seems everything is fine as far as the numbers go. It seems like you are crying out for something and definitely need to seek advice. Sorry I am not sugarcoating this. Since you have already seeked out mental help, I hope you consider continuing in that direction. Since this is the first post on the board I don't know enough about you. My opinion you need to get help if you are purposely doing this to yourself. It's not fair to you, not fair to the surgeon who helped you, not fair to your family. You need to take care and control of yourself and soon. I also don't think it's ironic they are giving you till Christmas to gain some weight. I do think it's ironic that you think it is. Please get some help. My respects to you.

    what the doctor said

Yup, it like that with any weight loss surgery or regimen. Like Kemo said this surgery is just a tool. You have to do the work. It's not easy either, especially if any complications arise as they did with myself.

    Tomorrow is it!!!

    Hoping all goes well.

  17. hi there, I apologize for not getting on sooner. I have had a rough go but feel like things are getting better finally. How are you doing?

  18. Take care and talk soon.

  19. Hi there, sorry I had to go to the ER with what I messaged you with the other day. Thankfully I did, my kidneys were in pre renal dysfunction. Basically the blood wasn't getting to my kidneys very well and causing me a hard time to go to the restroom. I will email you tomorrow and let you know. I went in that night I emailed you and got home around dinner time tonight. Will be on tomorrow.

  20. 20 pounds!! I am happy with this. 14.5 inches too. According to realize. Someone I never told about the surgery seen me the other day and said wow. I don't see a difference, but still nonetheless to hear someone say that, makes me gidy inside. Thought I would share.... Gracie
  21. I remember that, week. Not like it was too long ago for me lol. However, I was allowed to have cream soups, strained ofcourse. So my mother in law made me cream of mushroom soup and strained all the mushrooms out. You can have any kind, as long as it is strained. I must say, it was the best thing ever. It went down easy, coats the stomach, and was soooo yummy. Hope this helps.
