yes I had to drink that stuff before amy surgery,I guess they just want to make sure your system is clean prior surgery. Is not as bad as you think plus it will help you to lose a few pounds

Thanks for sharing your story with us. And we all are not perfect as for food choices Like you said the good thing is that we are not eating the amount that we were eating prior surgery. And if you are exercising that helps tremendously. =) Congrats on your weight loss so far, great job!

The hunger is not going away. At least in my case lol. Maybe you could be different . I do get hungry like 2-3 hours after I eat. When you start your mushies it will be a bit different too,the good news is that with small amounts of foods you will be full is the Protein Shakes helping a little? When I was on my post op liquid diet I ate a lot SG Jello and pudding as well as Protein shakes and SF popsicles ,. It will get easier as soon as you start eating some "real" food

Hey Liliana! I didnt know you had become a moderator! Too cool!
Anyway, to the point...the last few things I have posted that are my experience to others have been pointed out as being wrong. One such said I was misinformed and making assumptions. I wrote that OP in a message to make sure I had the details correct and stood by my post but I wanted to make sure that she understood my intentions were good and I didnt want there to be a misunderstanding.
I was just getting the impression that people were not really wanting to hear what my experience was if they are going to call me out on it. I am not in the practice of doing this. I am sure my experience is not just like everyone elses. Maybe some folks can eat 1000 calories a day at two weeks out, who knows? I just dont want to see some new people try that and get into trouble with leaks, etc when MOST people's surgeons dont have anything like that in their plans. Its up to the poster to take all the ideas and suggestions and use the ones they think will help them in their personal journey. We are all entitled to share our experience and knowledge without being called out or argued with. Thats all I am saying.
PDXMAN--- I have seen them do this to you also and I was sure you would understand where I am coming from. Thanks for listening to me rant about this.
Is obvious that she/he misunderstood that you were trying to help. I will let it go.I hope that you don't stop your posts, like I said we all enjoy them a lot. =)

I eat pretty much everything, except bread, rice or Pasta. I still having a hard time with bread or pasta. I tried brown rice once and it was ok. pancakes or waffles too They were my favorite pre surgery. I can eat potatoes as long as they are soft . I was lactose intolerant for like the first month. Now I am fine with milk. Really sugary Snacks make me sick I am having a hard time with chicken too, weird, I can eat sirloin steak ( has to be soft ) but not chicken yet. I Haven't substitute these things for something else yet on my diet.

I guess like you said it depends on your surgeon's schedule, how busy he/she will be for the month. After I completed ll the requirements they called me in about a month later. Good luck!!

Congrats on your decision and it will be so worth it at the end and you won't regret any minute. Best of luck to you

Wow. I know that is was only a test but I don't think I can put into my body all those gross foods at once in one day. I am glad that you are sharing your experience and that is how we learn when we try something new to eat after the sleeve (the hard way lol) I guess with the time we are able to tolerate different foods . I think you can have some of those foods once in a while. There is nothing wrong with that, specially since you are exercising Again thanks for sharing your test, that was a lot of junk food for 1 day

I am 4 months out and I started introducing toasted whole wheat bread now ,It was fine, specially if you do a little exercise . There is nothing wrong on having your whole wheat toast 2-3 times per week if you like =)
