  1. Jodie, I've seen in other threads how you said that guy treated you, and to be honest with you, I think he dated you and treated you that way because you didn't have the confidence to know that you deserve better. You've obviously gained that confidence and overcome him. I've heard of this happening at different times in different ways, even people who were married getting divorced. I broke up with a boyfriend after seeking some counciling and gaining some self confidence. He said that "Paxil and counciling ruined our relationship". I told him that had nothing to do with how HE treated ME. This was before I ever looked into surgery, but I think it's the same kind of thing. And now you have that boost of confidence and it sounds like all sorts of people are taking notice to it.
  2. I'm not losing more often than I am losing, but then I lose a few lbs in a matter of days. I've lost about an inch and a half around in the last week, but no weight, so I'm hoping that the scale is going to "bounce down" here for my soon again. I've been bouncing the same few lbs for about a month now. To be honest, I don't believe a new 'low' weight until I've 'bounced down' to it a few times. Like when I my scale first said 225, I had to see it for a few days for it to be 'official', you know? lol
  3. I gotta post now, because I wont be able to weigh/measure again tomorrow morning. Weight:225 Chest: 39.5 Waist 42 Hips: 49.5
  4. I'm sorry to hear about your dad, but glad that you've taken the opportunity to improve yourself. Maybe when your brother sees you bettering yourself, he'll get on the wagon too? Welcome!
  5. Ice Cream festivals are just one of the many things that are wrong with the world today. Eat nothing for 48 hours, then go. lol.
  6. HAHA!! I love PVPonline. Those clips where great too. I probably know someone who might've done something similar to that first one... I haven't actually played WOW, but I've played other games that fall in the same genre.
  7. Your toes look great! I wanna get a pedicure soon. As for tips, I used to bite my nails to the quick, and I was able to get tips when I wanted them, so you shouldn't have a problem.
  8. That's great! It's always good to have relief after how stressed you were before!
  9. I went for an unfill and have to say that Dr. Kuri second guessed my choice as well. I got it anyway just like you did and feel much better. If Dr. Brandeis said that your organs were being eaten by your body, it's likely that most of the rest of your muscle was too, and he said you were dehydrated. Getting rehydrated and building muscle are going to cause you to gain weight. I know you don't like to see it on the scale, but it's good weight. And you should probably try and get up to 1200 calories a day. You are going to need to fix your metabolism now, which is going to be difficult, but it will help you in the long run I think. My non-medically-educated opinion is that you should spend the next few months getting healthy, and worry about the weight loss after that. There are also machines that can tell you your body fat and muscle %'s, so you can see if you are losing fat while gaining muscle even if the scale doesn't change. Does that make sense? Hope this helps.
  10. Those are great!!! I really like them!
  11. It's all about WHAT you decide to go after. :laugh
  12. There's a company that has vitamins out that are in the form of a thinstrip (like breath strips). The initial taste is kind of vitaminy, but the aftertaste is mint, and since the aftertaste lasts longer, I can deal with that, lol.
  13. Yup, you know I clicked right away . I think that sex, religion, and politics get different people equally fired up. I'd rather be open and just avoid what I personally don't like, than know I'm missing out on stuff because it's censored though.
  14. Dee, let us know what your nutritionist says. I'd say to quit eatin sugar free stuff an eat stuff with sugar in it just for a little while (pudding, popcicles, etc), or drink some fruit juice maybe. But let us know!
  15. HarleyNana, if you have the picture ready, and it's the right size, click on UserCP in the upper left corner. Then click on Edit Avatar. Then scroll to the bottom of the page, and choose Browse, and find the image on your computer that you want to use, and click OK. Then click Save Changes. Does that help?
  16. I don't smoke, but I have heard that if a doctor requires that you smoke, sometimes they will run a test before surgery that somehow tells them that you smoked and some doctors will cancel surgery based on that. Just fyi.
  17. For those of us who didn't get to go... what's the name game?? I'll sign up for food duty too... or maybe drink duty, haha. (I did work in a coffee shop once... not quite the same as a bar, but it's close, lol) Now where's my time machine...?
  18. Anyone who wants to email me a picture, I'll shrink it down too
  19. Marimaru replied to DeLarla's topic in The Lounge
I'm going to have that song in my head all day too... lol
  20. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts are with you while you try and pull your mind and heart back together.
  21. I think you'll be fine. It sounds like you have a lot of emotional stress on top of trying to get prepared for surgery. You might just flat out tell your mom "I'm doing this, and you aren't going to change my mind, so please stop." I'm sorry about your boyfriend. Not that the timing is ever good, but the timing on that was really bad. Just buckle down and work on getting excited that you are doing something for yourself that is going to change the rest of your life!
  22. YES! Call them and ask what you need to pay if you can pay it all right now. I had about $4000 in bills from an emergency abcess draining, (a little surgery and an overnight stay). I called up and it was cut to about $1500.
  23. His full name is Roberto Rumbaut Diaz. Maybe if you give them that, they can find him.
