  1. Enjoyed your post!

I am one week out tomorrow. I have been home since Friday and am feeling pretty good. I am excited to say that I just finished 1/2 an egg scrambled soft with a little cheddar and it went down really good. I am drinking my Protein shakes(maybe 3oz at a time) 4 or 5 times a day. I have also tried yogurt, applesauce, malt o meal, chicken broth with a few noodles and mashed potato with garlic salt. I am looking forward to being 30 days out like you.

  2. I was sleeved on Wednesday May 11 and I can't wait to get rid of all those 3X's.Yay for us!

I am having the surgery through the V.A. Being listed as disabled, I get all my medical free. I found out they do WLS and started the process in October. It is finally happening on Thursday and can't wait!!! I want to go back to school in the Fall and be a totally different person. i know I will be. I think, or at least hope that I will have changes and have to wear dresses the last week that I go back to school after the surgery. I get to end the year with one week of work post surgery. Timing is great! lol Oh and I voted for you already. Got to do it again. i wish you luck with the contest!

  3. Hey, thanks for the support I will post again when I get home.

I will be thinking about you tomorrow and sending healing thoughts your way. My surgery is next week.

Unless a person has been limited by weight and had their health affected, I think it is very hard for the person to understand how surgery is an option. I'm with you! I want a healthy life enjoying my grandchildren now and great grandchildren one day.

  4. Thanks for the support! My Mom is crazy worried and my only child just had her first child. My first grandbaby. I really want to keep the weight off this time so I can play with him instead of being too tired all the time. My Mom doesn't understand why I have chosen now to have surgery but my daughter is trying to be supportive. I have a great husband and he does his best to support any decision I make but none of them really know where I'm coming from. My knees and my back hurt all the time. I want to be healthy!

Good luck to you!!! Hope everything goes well and look forward to hearing from you

    post-surgery!!

  5. Hi Fellow Sleevers,

This is my first post. I've been reading for a couple of weeks now but now it's here. My surgery date is tomorrow. I thought I would have more trouble going clear liquid today but it wasn't too bad. Even fixed the husband lasagne for dinner. I'm being sleeved at 12pm at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital. It all came together really quick. I started classes on January 13, 2010 with Kaiser. They require 12 weeks of classes and when I started they told us the wait would be 4-6 months after our classes finished but they have contracted with Fountain Valley now and I am one of their first Kaiser patients. I am pretty nervous but reading your posts have helped. Wish me luck and I will post again when I get home.
