  1. I didn't start exercising till 7 or 8 weeks out. My doc gave me the go ahead after 4 weeks though, but I wanted to give myself a little extra healing time. Now, 4 months out I do Fitness Kickboxing, Strength Training and walking.
  2. Keep your chin up. You can do this and pass with flying colors! Good Luck!
  3. hahaha did you blush??? I bet you did and smiled from ear to ear!

    Flatout Flat Bread

Hey Guys, I haven't had bread since before my liquid diet started and I just wanted some LOL. So in food Lion, I'm looking at the nutritional value of the many many choices and getting depressed, then I saw FLATOUT FLATBREAD. Here is the nutritional breakdown per slice: 90 Calories (nice size too) 6 Net Carbs 0 Sugar 2.5 grams of fat 9 grams of Protein I got the Light Italian but they had other flavors with about the same nutritional value. I'm thinking this could be used for pizza and cut one up and season to your liking, bake in the oven until crispy and eat with hummus and it was good as a wrap too. The 9 grams of protein is what sold me on it and it didnt' taste bad either. Thought I would share
  6. ...and now disrespectful.
  7. Congratulations! That has got to feel great.
  8. Me too. Dark chocolate is my fave!
  9. I think it happens to everyone in the begininning because of the limited food and calories but I have not read where someone passes out due to dizziness this far out. I could be wrong, but err on the side of caution, call your doc as soon as you can, especially since you passed out. Hope you feel better, Kelly. (((Hugs)))
  10. Sip small and slowly, very slowly. You may be taking too much in at once. Hope it gets better.
  11. For being rude. People come here for support and not to be judged. I apologize about my first post, as you see I amended it. I shouldn't have mentioned your name. But, seriously, there was no reason for those responses. '
  12. It is not up to anyone to judge what anothers decision is on how to go about their journey. There is no reason to be rude or obnoxious. If I could have, I would have self payed too and not jumped through the hoops. Most insurances put those hoops in place so that you will give up and not pursue the surgery. Maybe then I wouldnt have had to wait for a year to get my surgery done. We pay for insurance to take care of what we need done medically. TigerLily does needs to call and find out for sure if she is covered for after care if there is a problem, and if they wont cover you, and you can switch, then by all means switch. Being mean, nasty and sarcastic does nothing for anyone. This board is for people to find support not to be judged. My Mom had a saying that if you have nothing nice or constructive to say, dont say anything at all.
  13. Yes! Call your doc first thing Kelly. Are you on any BP meds? If so that may be the cause, low blood pressure. Please be careful and keep us updated.
  14. You will be fine. Like you said a lot of people go through the stalls. The gain is from water weight because think about it you are not consuming enough calories to actually gain that much weight. In order to gain a pound you have to have something like 3500 calories. Your new stomach couldn't handle 3500 calories. Hang tough, you will get through this. It just takes time.

    my story... my emotions

You sound like me when I first got sleeved. I was able to eat the ice pops and jellos with no problem. I didn't start on the yogurt until 2 weeks though. Your new stomach will tell you when you are full believe me . Things will get better and once you start on the solid foods you will feel the restriction big time. When reading though keep in mind that everyone is different. I would read how people could only handle 2 bites of an egg when they got to softs and here I was eating a whole egg with ease. I didn't think I had restriction, but found out the hard way when I was eating watermellon! It is really really hard in the beinginning just keep the goal in mind and that is to be healthy and strong. That unheathy you will rear its ugly head ever so often but its up to you to fight her. The NEW you is stronger and better. Good luck, I know you will do fine.
  16. So glad to hear that you are now having a good sleeve experience. See, like we all told you it did get better. Great job!

    Alcohol?

I had my first glass of wine at 4 months out. Like everyone has said nothing with carbonation until later.
  18. Welcome to the board Teri. There are a lot of band to sleeve revisioners here so you will get a lot of good info. Happy journey!

    White or Dark Chicken?

Like you said with the little amount that we are consuming, at this point I don't think it matters too much. When you stop losing and want to continue, you have the option to start using the leaner part of the bird. Good luck!
  20. Lou, your pics are beautiful! You have come such a long way and it shows. Congratulations on your sucess and many more to come. I hope you enjoyed the feast!
  21. Each milestone is a wonderland Kemo so yes there is a 240land LOL Congratulations!

    My Journey Begins

Hope you are recovering well. I had the same question to my docs about losing too much weight pre-op. They told me that for insurance purposes they go by the first day you weigh in and that the more weight you lose the better before surgery because it helps the docs when in surgery and makes your recovery that much easier. Good luck!
  24. No she is not back, she is just peaking through but the NEW Debbie is stronger and more powerful. You will be fine.
