  1. Simple fact: STALLS SUCK!!! Ok, I feel better now LOL. I am 4 1/2 months out and my first stall was from 2weeks to 6weeks. I was very upset about that. I tried to quit smoking after that time too and actually gained a total of 8lbs. Gave up that battle for another day. The lbs are moving now and slow, but I am at the last 20 to goal, so I don't expect 5-10 lbs to come off like magic anymore . But a true stall is when you are not losing pounds and not losing inches. Throughout I was losing inches. Stalls suck and then you stop stalling and everything is beautiful again. Then you will stall again and it will suck. Try to ride it through and keep working your sleeves, you will get through it!

    Compression Garments

I use the one from Target too but for the upper half, its like a tank top with the boobs cut out LOL. My middle is my problem area, I don't use it because it will help with the skin, I think my skin is shot at this point, but I do use it so it will hold things "together" around my middle and the underwear ones always roll down my belly. It makes me feel better if I can't see all the little imperfections that some clothes will show.
  4. Amazing progress! You rocked your sleeve and it shows. Congratulations!
  5. That has got to be the best feeling. I did that a month ago and just in time to not have to go shopping for work clothes! Now, well things are starting to sag a little. Congratulations!

    Tired after dinner?

I was taking naps in the afternoon/evening for a month post op. First two weeks multiple times a day and then when I went back to work as soon as I got home. If I didn't I would be in bed by 8:00 at night lol

    What made you do it?

    1) Last April, I was taking 20 pills a day and didn't know if I was ill or if it was a side effect of a pill. I needed to get off of the pills and to do that I needed to lose the weight. I am now on 3 pills a day. 2) A friend of mine has diabeties, never really took care of himself with it and ate what he wanted. Because of that they took part of his foot and now he is on dialysis. He is only 4 years older than me. Last year I had to have a biopsy done on my kidneys and that was a huge wake up call. 3) I knew if I didn't do this, with all my ailments, I wouldn't make it to 60. I want to see my son grow up and get married and have kids of his own.
  22. There is one a few miles from me, going there this weekend to get me the cinnamon/raisin ... that was always my favorite toasted ahhh the memories LOL thanks for sharing Suzanne!

    First Time eating out

So glad you had a good experience. I bet it was some great tasting seafood too. Do you savor your food more now than before? I do, I think its because we eat so little of it now that we can actually appreciate the taste now.
