  1. I wanted to say thank you for sharing your recipe. I got my surgery on the 21st and will visit my doctor on thursday and will be on my mushed phase next. Im confused as to what i can eat so your advice sounded really good. thank you for sharing...how are you doing? Good luck!! :D

    I just ate baby food (chicken). I admit I really like meat baby food, so it was great and I managed to eat the whole jar (80 grams). I did warm it before though. No idea what this cooking technique is called in English, anyway I put some Water in a pan, then the jar of baby food in the Water without the lid and heat the water. It becomes soft and luke warm, I put some of the mashed potato in it and I can eat it all. Amazing. I love it.

  2. Thanks for the questions, i had surgery on the 21st too and i have lots of questions. how are you doing? good luck

    Okay, i have a couple of questions for clarification, and would appreciate input. I know there are different diets and mine is 1 clear, 2 full, 2 puree, 2 mushy.

    My questions are;

    Is 1% milk clear or full?

    Cottage cheese is mushy or earlier? I loves me some cottage cheese!

    Egg drop, which stage do you no longer have to strain it?

    SF pudding, which stage?

    Lastly, which stage could I add in SF cool whip to Protein drinks and puddings?

    Thanks for any help guys, some of this stuff can be pretty confusing. Or maybe the drop in calories of the pre-op diet have turned my brain to mush, lol.

    Have a great day and thanks for reading.

  3. I had my surgery on March 21st (6 days ago) and the first 2-3 days were hell, i kept asking myself why i did this? I regrettted my decision then but today i feel alot better, and dont regret it. I know its too early to tell whats to come but i hope you feel better soon. Im constantly walking and drinking drinking drinking Water all the time. Thats my side kick, i carry my bottle water with me everywhere i do. I know its hard, but trust me the water and walking helps with getting the gas out of your system. Today i woke up craving scramble eggs....but im still on liquids (water, clear broths/soups, and popsicles) so hopefully after my doctors visit next week i can enjoy some mushes. My hardest thing right now is that im missing real food. I have been tempted but im too afraid to eat anything and prolonging my healing. So my advise for you is to stay positive, contact your doctor if things get too bad with the pain, walk as much as possible and drink drink drink your water. Good luck and keep us posted........each day brings us closer to the day we wont feel any pain. Hugs!

  4. Congratulations on your surgery. I too, had my surgery on Monday. March 21st buti havent had the gas problem you mention, however I have experience the discomfort when i cough. All i do is hold a pillow to my tummy and cough as little as possible. Im on a liquid diet and can only take Water, sugar free popsicles, sugar free Jello or clear liquids which have been good but to be honest im not hungry for anything. I have tried the jello, popsicle and broth but i barly eat anything. I have maintained drinking all the water requirements and have been walking at least 10-15 minutes each hour. My question is how long will my incision soreness last? I have no other pain with the exception of that soreness. Anyways, I wish you the best of health and many better days to come......take care :)
