  1. Alright, alright... listen to what Heatherr said!! Put on some ankle weights at 5lbs each!! That will add 10lbs w/out having to lose it later! I was in the same boat you are in and I decided to happily put the weight on and gained 25lbs to qualify for surgery!! I wish I had thought of the weights before hand but I didnt and boy did things slow me down at 25lbs heavier! So, my advice to you is to put on the ankle weights and step on the scale again. Then, when you have your surgery, the Dr will think you magically dropped those 10lbs during the pre-op diet!! I couldnt self pay either. It wasnt an option!! So, I had to gain the weight. It was fun doing it, but it really took a toll on my body!
  2. WOW!!! So awesome! I'm so happy for you! You look fantastic!!!
  3. So he wasnt concerned about how many carbs you were eating? He said that the weight loss all depended on how many calories you were taking in? Ummmm, yes that is contradictory to what we've all been told by our nutritionists.... very interesting! I'll have to ask my dr when I see him.
  4. You see, I dont usually eat a lot of pasta or noodles, so for $40 and from some of the bad reviews, I think I'll pass... Thanks again for everyone's input!
  5. Wow!!! You look great!! What a difference!! Keep it up!!
  6. What kinds of food have you made with them? Have you tried them in speghetti? or have you cooked with them? I'm debating whether to buy them or not...
  7. I was just wondering if anyone has tried these Miracle Noodles??? Are they good or a waste of money?? http://www.miraclenoodle.com/variety-sampler.html
  8. I was just wandering through the internet and stumbled upon these noodles and was wondering if anyone has ever tried these??? Are they good? http://www.miraclenoodle.com/variety-sampler.html
  9. HOT HOT HOT!!! I think pregnant women are gorgeous and you are no exception!!!
  10. WOW! You're so beautiful! Check you out... rockin some make-up too! You're looking fabulous girl! Keep up the good work!!
  11. Beautiful!!! Simply beautiful! You're doing so good!! Keep it up!
  12. OMG, thats exactly what I was looking for!!! Thank you!!
  13. When I get that feeling, I either get some string cheese or drink some of my clear Protein drink. Once I start to eat it, I end up not being able to finish all of it. I dont think it's hunger pangs, I actually think it's either acid or gas. I would definately talk to your surgeon next week and see if he can get you one a PPI. I havent had any acid issues since surgery and I used to get heartburn all the time!! Talk to him and see what he thinks.
  14. Nice one MaryMoon!! Love it!! As for sex, I was able to participate 2 wks after surgery... who told you you have to wait 30days? And as for masterbation... why not? If you've got the desire, full fill the need!! But SEX burns calories!!
  15. Ok.. I have a question and hopefully someone will know how!! I cook A LOT and was wondering how in the world can I figure out the nutritional content of the meal I just prepared??? Do I have to add up all the calories, protien, carbs for every single item that goes into the dish and then divide it by something??? I sure hope someone knows how to do this!! Thanks

when it doesnt jiggle anymore. when you look at it, in the middle it wont be all liquidy, it'll be a bit firm
  17. Never mind... I just checked them online and they are both LOADED with carbs! Too many carbs vs protein ratio for me. So, never mind.... but thanks!
  18. Where can you get the Think Thin bars and the Pure Protein ones? Do you have to order them online???
  19. And, just an FYI... you all might want to check the Subway website for their nutritional information. Subway may be a healthy alternative for fast food however, they are not really low in Carbs at all. Depending on what bread you get (9 grain is their best) most ALL of their food idems are well over the 30g of carbs allowed. Even if you only eat 1/2 of their sandwich, it's still an enormous amount of carbs. Unless you eat only Protein for the remainder of the day, 1/2 a sandwich may not be the ideal option this early out!! Just a thought.
  20. WoW!!! I'm a few weeks ahead of you guys and I'm not able to eat nearly as much as you guys!! I'm supposed to be transitioning to solids on Monday but that's not gonna happen for me. I'm not even able to finish 1/4c of anything right now!! Not even soup! My Dr. prescribed me some anti-nausea meds to see if that'll help, along with my PPI but I'm battling nausea all day. Sometimes when I even THINK about food I get really queezy!! But that's another story. I'm very envious that you guys are able to eat 1/2 of a subway sandwich!! Just remember to keep your carbs under 30g a day and your Protein around 80g. The WW ice cream has a lot of carbs!! Just make sure to log all your food so you can keep track of them properly. So, to answer your question, no, I'm not able to eat nearly as much as you guys can.
  21. I've only lost 33lbs but what a difference!! I just mentioned to my husband yesterday this same topic! Before I had surgery, I hit that snooze button at least 3 or 4 times but now, I wake up before the alarm!! And my alarm goes off at 4:13am! I have a lot more energy and feel great in the morning!
  22. Girl, I'm so sorry you're going through this right now. I do have a question...how was your relationship before you were sleeved? Did he simply change over night or had he been like this for a while and you're just noticing? I'm a firm believer in marriage and think it's forever but sometimes it just doesn't work out and it's better to be alone and happy than in a relationship and unhappy. Life is too short to be wasted on crap like that. With that said, I would evaluate your relationship and see if you can't work things out first. You know, my husband never went to any of my appts, only saw me once in the hospital, and never really understood what I was going through. He still doesn't, but thats my fault for not including him in my journey. Hes very good to me but he sometimes doesn't understand when I'm not feeling well. And again, thats my fault for not explaining things to him. I truly hope things get better for you. How long have you been married? How many children do you have?
  23. Congrats on your surgery date!! Very excited for you! I did notice that you have Kaiser. Did you have to do a 12 week class thing? My aunt has Kaiser and is going through them to get the Sleeve and she has to do a 12 week course.
  24. Thank you so much for sharing this!! I was wondering about this myself after reading someone else's post! I usually mix my Syntrax Nectar in the evening and then take it to work with me the next day and after reading what someone said about having to drink it immediately, I stopped drinking it. (Too foamy immediately after mixing). Now I can start drinking it again!! Yay!! Thanks again!!!
  25. Good luck Ashley! Keep us posted!
