Magnesium citrate
Ok....i was able to drink about half of the 10oz bottle before the pain from the carbonation took over. I have been going to the restroom better good now...lol....and left the rest open on the counter to let the thing get flat. I'll drink the rest tomorrow. But I've been uncomfortable from the fizz for about two hours now. Let's hope I don't need to do this again!!!

Magnesium citrate
I've been having a lot of trouble with constipation so I desided to get some magnesium citrate to help speed things up. I didn't realize it's fizzy til I started to drink it. I'm only 4wks out and really need to take it...i tried Miralax but to no avail. Is it gonna kill me to actually drink it even though we are not supposed to have carbination??? I NEED RELIEF!!!!

3 weks Post op
Monday I'll be 4 wks out and I get to try chicken, beef, and turkey blended w/gravy!! I'm kinda scared to try it, but I'm gonna try a recipe I saw. I was a couple oz of cooked or canned chicken, a tbsp of ceasar dressing, a couple sprinkles of parm cheese and blended up!! Chicken Ceasar w/out the salad.... I'm curious to see how it goes down.

creamed soups
Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Potatoe are my favorite! I use a whole can of milk and blend it up so it's thin and creamy! It's so delicious!! I just love Campbell's soups! I also tried Progresso's Chicken Tortilla and blend that up with some Tapatio (hot sauce). Yumm-O!!!

No official Pre-op diet?
A lot of doctors are different. I've seen people on here who have had to do a 14day pre-op diet and others not required to do anything at all. My surgeon only required a 3 day diet and thank god it was only 3 days!! I dont know how people could a whole 14 days only on clear liquids! I lost a lot of energy with only 3 days, can you imagine 14?? No thanks!! Be thankful you dont require one! Have as many of your "Last Suppers" as you can before surgery!!!

Syntrax Nectar Twisted Cherry
I use these! I also bought the sample packets and fell in love with the Cappuccino flavor! I put 2 scoops (48g protein) in 20oz of water and ice and drink that all morning! I love it! When this one's gone I'm probably buy the Twisted Cherry flavor. I liked that one the best, as well as the Fuzzy Navel. But actually, I liked them all except for the Tea one. I dont really care for Iced Tea.

April Update from everyone
OMG, did I really have the sleeve or not? I feel great. I actually feel as though I never even had the surgery. Except for the fact that I'm still on pureed foods, I would think it was never done. As well, the scale hasnt moved in 2 wks and none of my clothes feel any loser yet either!! I know I have to be patient but I see so many other April sleevers losing and here I am stuck! WTF is wrong with me!? I'm following my Dr's orders and getting in all my required protein, fluids, etc, but still nothing seems to change. I simply feel as though I was never sleeved!!!

Click Protein Powder
Thank goodness you said something!! I was looking at these today and considered ordering them but saw the high carb and low protein so I didn't. Thanks for sharing that they're awful!!

Multivitamin equals vomitting

Multivitamin equals vomitting
Hey Ya'll, I take the Bariatric Advanced chewable Multivitamin and without fail I vomit immediately after I take it. I've tried taking it w/food, w/out food, in the morning, in the afternoon, etc and nothing seems to be helping!! Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you overcome it? It's not the taste nor the texture, I actually like them but my stomach certainly doesnt!! Please help!

Need serious help!
You all made a valid point.... I havent been excersising at all. It's been so cold here that I havent even gotten the strength or the desire to head out for a walk after work. I'm so exhausted after going back to work that once I get home, I'm not motivated at all to go for a walk (weather and energy a total factor). I guess I really should start pushing myself to get up and take the kids and dog for a walk; at least around the block. I will start that this week!! I will also tell the hubby to hide the stupid scale until at lease next week, 5/25 (my 1 month surgiversary). How long did it take all of you to break your stall??
-
Need serious help!
thank you all.... I guess I dont really have a choice but to plug along and keep things moving. I will put the scale away and re-weigh myself on 31May and see what happens then. Did all of you experience the stall too????

Nectar Whey Protein Isolate
I love the Nectar!! All the flavors were WAY better than Isopure! I eventually bought a big container of the Cappuccino flavor and drink that everyday! Once that's gone I'll be purchasing the Wild Cherry or Fuzzy Navel flavor. They are very good and arent as thick as Isopure. I would recommend getting the sample packets first so you can see which ones you like best!

Need serious help!
I've searched and searched this 3 week stall thing, but I'm not getting the answers I need and desparately need the help of my pro sleevers please!! I'm working on my 4th week of being sleeved. I'm on full liquids which include creamed Soups, yogurt, cottage cheese, cream of wheat, etc. Since last monday the scale has not moved at all!! I'm stuck and need some advice. (I dont weigh everyday. I weight about every other day or every 3 days.) This week is the first time I've been able to actually get water/fluids/thick fluids down with ease! I've been struggling getting all my 64oz of Water in and my 80g of Protein a day. But yesterday was great and I was able to drink all my fluids and consume all my protein. Here is what I have scheduled for todays menu: Morning: Bariatric Hot Chocolate- 15g protein, 80cal BF: Zoi greek yogurt w/splenda- 11g protein, 100cal Drink throught the day: Syntrax nectar Cappachino- 20oz, 48g protein, 0cal L: 6oz of cream of potatoe Soup blended- 2g protein, 120cal S: Premier Protein shake- 30g protein, 160cal D: blended cottage cheese w/seeded cucumber & tomatoe- 14g protein, 100cal Plus about 3 16oz bottles of water throughout the day as well. So, my question is... where am I going wrong? What can I do to help move the scales and my pants sizes along?? I'm getting discouraged and a bit frustrated! I'm following the plan to a "T" and I'm getting most of my essentials in. I just dont know what's wrong!! I understand that my body is still healing and I need to give it time, but I expected a little movement since the past 2 wks. At least something!! Please HELP!!!! Where is TIFFYKINS or LILMISSDIVA???

How many steps to your program's diet?
Yes, my doctor is the same. 2wks Clear Liquids 2wks full liquids 2wks pureed 2wks soft Then finally regular food... So, you are not alone!! And trust me, you don't want to cheat. I tried egg salad while on full liquids and got a bad case of dumping syndrom and was ill all day long!! Totally not fun. Sick with the plan and you will do fine!!

April Update from everyone
The drink I got is from www.mybariatricpantry.com ... I bought the Syntax Nectar samples and loved the cappachino flavor. I ended up buying a big tub of it. I put 2 scoops in 20oz of water giving me 48g of protein!! They have a lot of yummy flavors!! Buy the samples first to try them out!! Great job on your weight loss. How much have you lost post-op?
-
Am I on track?
"Dont worry"... that's all I hear on here! And you are right, never compare yourself to others. Everyone is different and at 2.5 weeks your body is just barely starting to heal after having the majority of your stomach removed! I'm working on my 4th week and the scale hasnt moved in 2 wks! So, dont worry... As we move through the phases, our body will adjust to this new sleeve and will get better! (I was sleeved on 4/25). Once we get to Phase 5 (the solid food stage) then I would begin to worry about the weight loss. Right now we aren't even getting enough calories in to consider changing our diets yet. Continue on your doctor's plan and you will see the pounds begin to fall off!! Patience, my friend!

When I was at my heaviest I used to say . . .
I'll get back to my skinny self. You'll see!! I always said that to my mom and dad and even my husband but it never happened!! Now that I'm sleeved, I dont have to say that! I'll just show them!!!

April Update from everyone
Feeling much better today! I was able to drink all my hot protein chocolate cocoa, cream of potatoe soup, and just had about 6 small bites of refried beans for lunch! I have already finished a 16oz bottle of water and am working on a 20oz protein drink (cappachino flavor). This is the first day since my surgery that I have actually been able to eat this much and drink too! OMG, maybe this sleeve is actually gonna work?! Lets just hope my 3 week stall from last week doesnt carry over into this week too!! ugh... I've been stuck at the same exact weight since last monday. no movement. I'm increasing my fluids and calories so lets hope that works!!

April Update from everyone
OMG just experienced the dreaded dumping syndrom. The egg salad didn't sit well with me at all!! I feel like crap and was in the bathroom for about half an hour. Not fun. No more egg salad for me.....man, this sleeve is a lot harder than I anticipated.
