  1. Hi there! I am 3.5 months out have lost 70 pounds!! Woo hoo! I went to the Dr and he says I am blowing all his sleeve patients out of the Water with the amount lost. He was very pleased. Anyhow, my question is this, I am having a rough time with dairy.

I tried to eat just a few small spoonfuls of ice cream and became so sick! Violently sick. Then I tried a very small amount of flan. A Mexican dessert a month later and had severe stomach pains again and dirreah.

Does anyone else have any dairy issues?

    Thanks so much.

  3. Hi I saw your post and thought I would answer you as well as I know. One thing is we do not have to take pills in liquidation. We can take pills. I am personally going to do the depo shot for the simplicity of it. The pills make me terribly sick plus I don't want to forget and deal with unplanned pregnancy so close to my surgery. Anyhow, I am a huge advocate for the shot. But I understand its not for all. Hope this answers some of your question. Have a great new year!

  4. Hey guys, just curious is/has bellybutton pain? Sleeved the 16th....don't want to call the Dr for pain meds since I am on my third week and give him the wrong impression of me if I ask for more pain meds.???? Since I am 3 weeks out and all. Any thoughts? And why is it now that I am having pain there? No cuts are there.

  5. I too went through the same thing as far as I dis not feel any different when I was on liquids. Buy trust everyone when they say you'll feel it when you go to mushies. I had 3 very small spoonfuls of mashed potatoes this week and it was too much. I was scared because I had to vomit. And it was a bad vomit. I had to leave work. I felt so bad. So a word from the wise be very careful when you move to mushies, they didn't lie they actually took most of my stomach out. Lol!! As they did yours. So hope this helps!! Good luck my friend and happy new year!

  6. Too funny brownbear! Happy new year to you. I was sleeved on the 16 th and yesterday was my glory day of no pain with mushies going down. Just some FYI. I do not envy you on the liquids......holy moly that was the worst for my puggy butt. Mama likey food. Anyhow, good luck to you my friend sounds like you have a great personality like everyone on here and you Will soar through this with no problem.

  7. I am so frighten to do something that's going to cause a leak. I am 11 days out and starved. I finally ate mashed potatoes today....was it too soon?? I couldn't help it. My sanity was at stake. I had to have substance. It was so Dang yummy, the two tiny spoon full that I had. It didn't hurt at all, just a little discomfort going down but well worth the feeling. I go for my follow up tomorrow and I am praying he tells me to start mushies.....even though I kinda already started. Any feed back would be great to hear. Thanks so much! Blessed.

  8. I am 10 Days post op. I am starved!! I want mashed potatoes so bad I dream of them....ha ha! Not really but think of them probably more often than the normal Joe. I go to the Dr for my follow up on the 28 th. By then I will be 12 days out and praying he let's me have mushies. I am so so sick of soup!!! Broth!!! And Crystal light. Any more ideas on mushies besides mashed potatoes? I am sure that will get old just as quick as the broth and Soups. And this is the best site!! I love all the support and knowing someone's out there going through the same challenges or has been there. Thanks so much!!
