Wow is the recovery typical for just a Tummy Tuck or was it made worse with the lower body lift?

Hello All,

I had weight loss surgery 3 years ago and lost about 140lbs. I am at a stable goal weight and tried by best to lose weight in a way not to have too much excess skin left, but of course there is some. My main problem area is my stomach. I work out now so able to handle most of the other places fairly well, but there's no way to get my abs to "bulk up" enough to make a dent in the excess skin. I don't need anything fancy, I just want to feel comfortable with my shirt off at the beach or pool with my kids. Does anyone have any recommendations of which type of surgery I should be looking into and does anyone happen to know of any good places in the Austin, TX area that could perform such a surgery. I’ve tried research online but get overwhelmed with all the options, adds, clinics, etc. I’ve include a picture so you can get an idea of what I am working with.

Hi all. I was sleeved on Nov 17th 2010. I have been feeling pretty good and doing the liquid diet. I haven’t had too much pain after the initial 4 days. A couple of days ago my lower left abdomen started hurting. It was kind of a shooting pain but not on the incision. I can’t place when it started but I did pick up my 3 year old a couple of times earlier then I should. I currently have a cold/sinus infection and this morning had some blood in my nasal mucus stuff (I know… gross). Anyway between seeing a little blood and the stomach pain, I am a little worried, but I have been told you would “know” if something tore. Has anyone had a tear that could explain what it felt like? Hi love.star. I got the surgery from Dr Nicholson on Nov 17^th and went through their Dallas office which is on North I75 and Park. The whole office there is great. I don’t recall anyone there named Lisa, but all of the staff has been nothing but courteous and accommodating. Also I have been reading the board for a while now in preparation. When the time actually came I was as most people are, a little nervous. However Dr. Nicholson exceeded all of my expectations. No complications and complete details on what to expect and the whole procedure. At least for me, they really made me feel at ease. Anyway, this is just my experience and I wanted to share.

I have been to two diff bariatric surgeons. I am in need to find a good dr. I have insurance so that is not a prob. Does anyone recomend a surgeon in the plano, carrollton, dallas tx area? I am tired of getting the run and around. I tried Dr nick from the Nicholson Clinic, and due to his rude and condescending office staff (Lisa) I will no longer be going to him. I had my heart set on him bc ive read such great reviews and he was extremely nice. But I do not tolerate ppl disrespecting me and bc of her I will not be using him =/

I am frustrated and sad. I need to find another dr and I just cant seem to find another one that is close, offers support groups, and great customer service. Ive been to seminar after seminar and quite frankly I am all burnt out from seminars. I just want to find a dr.
